    Reed made his AAA debut:
    5 1/3 IP, 4H, 5R(3ER), 3BB and 3Ks. Not terrible.

    1st round pick Grant Holmes pitched pretty well:
    5IP, 2H, 2ER, 2BB and 3Ks.

    Totals: 30IP, 20H, 10ER, 7BB and 33Ks.

    It's going to be awesome to see him in the outfield next season after they trade away one of Dre/Carl in the off-season. :nod:

    I have to think that part of the reason it hasn't been done in so long is because the guys that approach that pace don't stay in the minors long enough through the season to reach that milestone. If Coletti has his way, Joc might end up as the Hank Aaron of the minor leagues.

    Nobody wants Dre for this season and CC MIGHT be finding it and we have SVS, what good would it do to call him and use up his arbitration years. Good business to keep him down in AAA, we MAY BE able to trade Dre in the off-season. We are not going to bring guys just for the hell of it especially when there is no immediate need.

    Would it be cool to see our young studs now yes of course but it's not that simple. If they are not on the 40-man roster you can put him on there if you have a spot otherwise a corresponding move has to be made. Couple that with the fact that teams don't want to HAVE TO pay guys unless absolutely necessary. Postpone those after arbitration years, only good business.
