Roberts absolutely has to be fired though.
I know well-educated fans do not want to be lumped in with hot take radio callers who always want the manager fired no matter what, but Dave has earned his firing.
No, a new manager isn't a miracle pill that changes everything.
    But it's a start

Even the most even-keeled dudes on Twitter that follow the team are saying that he did such a bad job in this series, that it’s probably time for him to go.

I wouldn't even mind Ausmus, TBH. Not after having DR. Ausmus is a smart guy, Ivy league

If they do can DR, I imagine Raul Ibanez will get a look. Believe he's still in the LAD FO doin whatever

Petition to move to the AL West and tank for ten years in a row and finally win one. Should be healthier than this fucking horse shit every year

Can't wait for the backstage Dodgers episode where Dave gets fired, and then Kasten walks in and fires Andrew. And then Mark Walter comes and fires Kasten. And then the FBI shows up and arrests Walter.

Who am I kidding though? Rectum Sportsnet would never show the real s*** we want to see

Being completely real here, I don't think any other team in professional sports has had a similar successful 7 year regular season run with nothing to show for it.

    Absolutely brutal and disheartening.

Yeah, even the Braves won at least 1 WS.

It’s sort of appropriate that CK led the meltdown. He’s been so anti-clutch for so long, I’m shocked he hasn’t been relegated to the pine during the playoffs by now. He’s literally not worth taking a risk on in the post season.

He’s had multiple chances to redeem himself, and at one point you have to realize what he really is, and that is a pitcher who has a problem between the ears when push comes to shove. There is a part of me that wishes he doesn’t make the HoF until the last year of his eligibility. There is a part of me that wishes he stop doing charity work and actually be an asshole and get his head straight.

Who am I kidding....if he plays for another year with another team, they’ll probably win a WS. It’s the Dodger curse.

The failures go beyond CK though. Kelley has been a disaster, Kenley probably would have screwed the pooch too. Pedro Baez is a name I really don’t want to hear next year. Belly, Seager, CT, Pollock....these are just names that piss me off. They are so unclutch...geezus....this team is less reliable than a MG convertible in the rain. You just love to hate them.

The FO doesn’t give a damn. As long as stupid, mindless Dodger fans keep going to games, tolerate the nickel and diming by the FO, accept the least strategic manager in MLB, and accept a situation where a big chuck of fans can’t even watch their own team because of some petty rich guys vendetta against TV providers...maybe we don’t deserve a chip.

At this point, maybe a Houston/Cubs like 3-4 year tank job in in order.

Not even angry anymore. I’m just slowly learning what it must feel like to be a Vikings and Bills fan.

I’m not sure if it’s just the constant disappointment or the not focusing as much attention on the team cause busier as I did when I was younger but I feel so numb right now.

Not to be dramatic cause I know a lot of people are tonight but maybe I... don’t care as much anymore? Idk I felt the excitement watching the games when I could but it wasn’t quite the same. Makes me worry if I won’t be as excited as I should when we do finally win one. (maybe?) (and I probably will who am I kidding)

All emotional things aside this team is gonna be great again next year. Hopefully we can add some exciting impact pieces to the group to boost my excitement going into next season. Cause right now this group is good but so unspectacular.

Need to spend money...and a lot of it to overcome some basic weaknesses on this team.

I hear you on this and I feel the same way. I used to make it a priority to watch every game, or at least the latter portion if I was still at work. I still watch a ton of games, but if I'm doing something else at the same time, it doesn't bother me. I also feel like I'm not as engaged. My buddies and I have had some conversations about this and I think it has to do with the fact that we've been so good in the regular season for so long, that it just feels like a given and it's just not as exciting. We're spoiled. It sounds crazy, but it's almost like we need a losing season to remember what it feels like to suck, so that we can pull for the team to get back into postseason baseball.

Don't get me wrong, I love winning and the fact we are absolutely dominating the NL West year after year. It just feels so weird to have been this good and have nothing to show for it. If we had won a championship, I think I would still be as engaged as I was when I was younger. Again, we have been incredibly successful, even in the postseason, but the ultimate goal hasn't been achieved and it keeps making me think of one word...dispiriting.

I know Twitter is obsessed with this topic but the Dodgers are actually great, that Braves team was fine and a run of the mill playoff team. That’s why it’s us by a mile, not just the 10 runs vs bullpen thing.

Different year, same shit sandwich, just a few weeks earlier.

This game was a microcosm of their year, in with a roar, out with a whimper. I had a bad feeling when they failed to deliver the knockout blow to Strasberg in the first. The opportunity was there. Thanks for nothing Bellinger and Seager (again).

The jam shot fly ball to end the game was a fitting end. Come to think of it, whiffing at a breaking ball a foot off the plate would have been more fitting.

Could have been worse. We might have been fans in 1951 when Thompson delivered the ultimate blow (no homo) to Dodger fans.

Me......I'm not crushed. Pretty damned used to it now. That said, I'm going to deliver a Ray Guy style boot to the balls of the first fucking Giant that pops off today.

you guys lamenting about caring less now than before lol
that come w age and your reality that sports means nothing
I washed that loss off almost immediately because well , it meant nothing
truly felt for CK sitting on that bench alone
all his failures laying at his feet like that was brutal and unreal
I'll still watch Dodger baseball and root for the team because I have no choice
but I really need to see a commitment to getting better starting w firing the lead moron
idc if he's just a pawn or what because he represents everything I hate about this team
today is going to be one the best days of my life for real
it would have been better w a solid Dodger post season but oh well
    means nothing
