Howdy Nirvana. I recently saw the band Seether who hail from South Africa. You ever seen them? They make no excuses about the fact about how much they love Nirvana. Check them out, It was a real good show.

Many of us said they needed to do some damage with this soft schedule, 4-1 is a good start.

Great win! Gonzo with the huge game. Greinke was mediocre for him and looked a bit uncomfortable tonight. Hopefully he is good to go in his next start. Took the series win now lets go for the sweep tomorrow!

David Wright is the Andre Ethier of the Mets. What a fucking loser he has become.

Good W....Greinke looking as average as I've ever seen him; where have all the flowers gone?
I know it's the second victory in a row, and a game gained on the SFags, but when I look at the team for what we all hope is a post season appearance, WTF do we do after we get a good 7 from our starters. I mean Kenley's fine for the 9th, unless he's worn to a nub (and really who can close but him?), but what the hell happens leading up to it from anyone else? JP is definitely a one inning pitcher, League is one day OK and next day not so much, Wright can implode, Wilson sucks...pretty shaky all around after considering Jansen.
I think Colletti needs to address the whole thing before we get up against the division winners and best out there. I don't know what the answer is, but with Greinke going uber meh and Ryu with the ass problems, along with this BP, it's troubling.
Very poor catching is also another. Not so afraid of the Giants as I am concerned are we deep enough to , uh...go deep into the post, if so.
I have to listen to the Met broadcast, and although he may not be everyone's favorite, it's refreshing to hear Keith Hernandez call out Dodger shortcomings like dumb moves by Donnie and the almost total ineffectiveness of Brian Wilson. Because I see the same thing, and you'll never get that from Vinny except a drone of endless overall team statistics.
Hernandez remarked about watching Wilson warm up, and having very little left of what he once had, and how he is a shadow of his former self. favors his shoulder and velocity is way down. Depressing as an LAD fan, but true; he was simply lucky last night. No lead seems safe.
I hope within the next 30 days, someone (or two) shows up to bolster the BP...I guess we are stuck with Carmona and Correia and have to keep our fingers crossed with Zack and Ryu and Haren.
    That's a lotta hopin' though.

man, Withrow going down really killed us. probably the toughest blow of the season. but something has to give at this point. we either need a 4th starter that we can give the ball to and expect him to give us a solid 7 innings in the post season or i guess just a trustworthy arm in general. if i'm not mistaken..Bartolo Colon has bullpen experience..it's an extremely small amount of experience, but gawddamnit we've got to be creative because this bridge to Kenley is burning. we just need another trustworthy arm right now and then figure it out later. trying Colon out for late inning BP work would be a hell of a stunt, but that's the kind of shit it's coming to.

losing out on Andrew Miller was bogus. the O's gave up a hell of a lot to beat us out, but fuck Miller would've been great.
