I was just being whimsical but I do think seriously that JT is the MOST likely to re-sign. I'm not going to completely let go of the influence of a wife's wishes LOL.

 

Wish Culberson the best but this club ain't for experiments. Ethier we bring guys in with pedigree from our minors or guys the FO got the gut feeling that can make a difference from with in the organization.

Leave the experiments to Orioles, Marlins Brewers, Padres ect.....

What I am saying is sign can't miss FA. Experiment with your homegrown talent and if they don't work out trade cut dfa ect...... We are the Los Angeles Dodgers with We should fill the gaps were we need them and not experiment with other teams cuts dfa ........

Seager Pederson Urias Kershaw is a good base with Gonzalez and JT that have proven pedigree and have performed well in LA.

Now is the time to find out about Toles LF all day.

 

He is still young but it's a proven fact that if by 27 you haven't broken out or have the proven solid skills put a fork in it.

Culberson is AAAA type player period

Of course I enjoyed the moment. Worth it yes but only when as team we are right

 

Which means he is likely the sacrificial lamb for a free agent about to sign, so they gave Culberson the extra $15K as a sweetener to accept the assignment. (A trade would be possible, but since they would likely send out multiple 40-man players in a trade for say Dozier, they wouldn't have needed to clear the extra spot.)

I wonder if the timing has more to do with the Rule 5 draft yesterday. It would be nice if this was a sign that a deal was about to happen, but it isn't necessarily anything to get excited about. It is really interesting to see how this team is approaching the off-season, I really am beginning to worry that Dozier is a replacement for Turner and not a side-by-side addition. Both Turner and Kenley are not helping matters at all right now as it sounds like the FO is not going to do anything until these guys make decisions. Turner keeps waiting for a better deal to come along, doesn't appear to be happening, while Jansen is mulling over multiple offers. The time it is taking Jansen to decide tells me he wants to come back here, but the Marlins offer is just that much better and it is not making his decision easy.

Culberson is nothing more than a seat filler, but he can play some solid D at 3 IF positions so he is somewhat valuable to a team with not a ton of depth at both SS and 2B, where the top players/prospects at those two positions aren't the slickest of fielders. I'm glad he is sticking around, especially after what he did at the last game at home.

I have 36 guys/ gals working for me directly and indirectly.. of those folks maybe 6-7 are grounded and understand change/ financial business decisions a company makes and don't blame the company for every little thing..

Then you have everyone else who thinks the company should bend over backwards for them just to go bankrupt... it's just a people thing..

On the other hand, the other 28ish guys are mostly Dodger fans so...
