Joc and Jose Bautista were pretty much eye to eye at the all-star break. Crazy

Trading Joc LMFAO. Aye dios mio. All due respect to even think that is pure lunacy. High trade value IMHO is hog wash, it's all contingent on who is desperate or who is not and beauty is ALWAYS in the eye of the beholder.

still too early to tell on joc imo
he's had success at every level
and was doing pretty well until pitchers started figuring him out and he [himself] got in his [own] head
the problem i see is his swing is way too long and [consequently] has a lot of holes in it
let him spend the offseason with someone who can teach him how to shorten his swing and rebuild his confidence
    just my :2cents:

Are you OK with someone supporting the Nazi symbol or the Isis flag?

That's not really my point though. I'm not second guessing, I'm hypothesizing on what the return would have been if that truly was the height of his value, which it may or may not have been.

I wouldn't have dealt him then in a million years, but if we had, the return could have been astronomical.

I didn't say I love and respect the Confederacy (and yes, it is capitalized.)

Nah, if you've stuck with him ( granted, not for an extremely long time) for the season, you've got to give him at least the post, if we make it, and half of next year at least. Just to see what he can do. And maybe that won't tell....so...longer.
I can't see him going anywhere unless it's a Vito Corleone type thing.

I know you didn't ask me, but symbolism is what you make of it.
I have an Apache shot bag, and the beadwork is all " whirling birds"...what is commonly known as a swatstika. It only became evil when the Nazis ripped it off, along with many other symbols from other cultures, as they did.
If you paint it on a Messerschmitt ME-109, or on a Panzer, it becomes something else than a whirling bird or a "hooked cross".

Point is, if you put it in black, inside a white circle, on a red field, and then march around or wear armbands, then you are supporting it...and who supports that symbol that way except the Aryan Brotherhood?
The Stars and Bars were a flag of a part of the country which evolved quite seperately from the North, and the concept of seccsession is alive and well, even today from time to time. It had a different economy and life style because of geography and climate initially, and the Confederate flag didn't represent slavery , per se. More of another country seperate from the North.
Recently and perhaps shockingly, personal letters of Abraham Lincoln revealed that he fought the Civil War to " keep the Union in tact", not free the slaves. As we were all taught.
He went onto write that he would have " freed all the slaves, freed some slaves, or freed no slaves at all ...whatever it took...to insure the Union".

It would be very sad to see Joc Kingman-Maas doing Subway commercials this fall.

Are you really comparing Nazism and Isis to the sybolism of the Confederate flag?

    Seriously?

You've been wearing that chip far too long.
