Saw that too!! Not good for us but it is on a club with no pressure and in high scoring games where pitchers just want to throw strikes.

yeah, the money is great but he's never gonna see a WS in Miami as long as Loria is in control. He's been sentenced to play his career (or at least a portion of it) in relative solitude. No one is there to see it and what ever good he does is for naught. Kinda like being the sideshow freak.

Puig is a loss but losing Kike may be worse.

At least Howie is coming back. He's like my third favorite, or maybe fourth since Seager is up, Dodger

Hoping puig and kike can get in before the last five games so they can get into a little bit of a rhythm before the playoffs

If this NL W/E standings keep up, we will be meeting the Mets in the playoff first round...why it's not the Cardinals again, IDK...but whatever. I think it should change each year, what division winner meets which other, rather than the same two every year. Might bring us some luck if we make it.
The ongoing Boras/Mets thing with shutting down Harvey at 180 innings is pretty relevant to us. Brings up who a player really works for, and how much say anyone has over a potentially injuring extension over what is medically suggested as enough.
But more directly: it could be bad for us, or of course, it could be good if he doesn't pitch..Initially you gotta figure it's a good thing if he doesn't.
But who knows what the guy will have on his scheduled day?

Yep, hope Harvey and Boras have a greater love for money rather than winning. That would be huge for us and completely asinine on their part. If they insist on an innings limit why not just have him miss the first month instead of the postseason???

If I'm Harvey, I shut it down and listen to the doctors. Could cost him millions and millions of dollars if he pitches into the post-season and ends up pushing himself too much and getting himself injured.

Among closers with more than 20 saves, Jansen has the 2nd lowest BA against (.167) and the lowest WHIP by a wide margin (0.71).

Stanton's OPS+ is silly, you bet your ass it's good if we got him.:woot:Lol I'd take the chance there. But yeah I agree would give up Alvarez along with Puig. I like Anderson, but yeah he could go too. If the Marlins want Urias the nerds better start talkin about Jose Fernandez. All imma say there. Puig and Alvarez is a good amount of value, which is probably what it'd take if Boston was in the mix for Stanton. And they have been in the rumors or whatever.

For those who hoped for a Harvey/Mets war it's not going to happen based on his comments today but more importantly than that the Nationals are only 4 back. Getting to play the Braves helps. What a horrible team!!!!!

Yes, the Harvey shit is peaking, and the local NY papers shoud be something the next few days. I'm not so afraid of Harvey, it's deGrom and the others that I think about.
All of this depends, of course, on whether or not this fucking doldrums so many in the lineup are in is over by that time. If it stays the way it is, forget it...the usual post season results.
