    dilbeck is such an asshat
never once factored in that (not just) their entire outfield -- but 7 of their 8 projected starters had negative dwar ratings
or that james shields was extremely overhyped and overrated
all of us saw it, yet he -- a presumably informed newswriter -- didn't
dilbeck is no better than any of those gullible fans who bought the snake oil preller was peddling
or all those despicable fans who jumped on the padres bandwagon
    :tuborg:
i hate the padres, and only feel sorry for bud black being designated the scapegoat for all of preller's ill-advised moves

They blamed Bartman because he was to blame. You can spin it however you want Irish, but there's not a person in Chicago that feels differently.

I feel bad for bartman, he doesn't deserve all the blame pie but definitely a slice of it

that's because everyone in chicago is delusional
they can't accept that they're team choked
that's why they'll remain losers, and deservedly so
if the cubs had won that night the whole incident would have been a non-event most who have forgotten by now
and that is why the cubs are to blame for the loss, not bartman
he made a mistake, but not as big a mistake ss alex gonzalez butchering a ground ball that would have got them out of the inning
but no one villifies him or any of the other cubs that choked that game and series away
bartman did not lose that game, the cubs did
so you see it is you who is spinning it

The better team doesn't always win the World Series.

    See: SF Giants.

That has to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. They beat everybody else so there are the best team! Duh.

You're just not getting it. All those things happened because of Bartman's play. He took all the momentum the Cubs had going and gave it to the Marlins.

There's two ways to look at things,Jerry...sometimes even more than that.
I'm guessing you never were in the service then.
Maybe not calling people "stupid" is not the way to go about it just because they disagree with you. Unless of course, that really is your purpose.

Being a reasonable man I have to assume that you listen to yourself, which makes the above the biggest, boldest statement I've ever heard in my life.

Write the commissioner, today and tomarrow.
