    2nd round of all star voting released. Joc Pederson is still behind 3 different Giants OF's and behind a total of at least 5 different OF's that are having worse seasons than he is. Y'all need to GTF out there and vote.

    Once a fan favorite and necessity for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Hanley Ramirez fell from grace in 2014 as he battled multiple injuries that limited his impact. The Dodgers extended Ramirez a qualifying offer, which he rejected, thus becoming a free agent.

    It’s believed talks between the Dodgers and Ramirez to keep the shortstop in Los Angeles never gained much traction and he was soon off to Boston, joining forces with friends David Ortiz and Pablo Sandoval. The decision to letting Ramirez walk was met by mixed feelings, and one well-known Dodger fan remains adamant in his belief on the matter.

    Renowned talk show host Larry King every so often tweets a stream of thoughts, often random and entertaining, with the ‘#ItsMy2cents’ hashtag. On Sunday King tweeted he still believes the Dodgers should’ve re-signed Ramirez:

    The tweet drew plenty of responses, which was to be expected, and it caught the attention of current Dodgers pitcher Brett Anderson:

    Ramirez is batting .257/.309/.486 with 12 home runs and 26 RBIs, but his transition to left field has been far from a smooth one. He’s currently rated a -0.4 WAR by virtue of a -1.3 dWAR and has regularly turned routine plays into difficult ones.

    There were concerns over his defensive range, tendency to get injured, and desire for a longterm contract, which didn’t fit well in the Dodgers’ picture moving forward given Corey Seager’s rise. Last season Ramirez finished with a -0.6 dWAR at shortstop.​

    Damn, yeah that right now is due to how its rating his defense, which is always the part in early parts seasons that makes WAR fluctuate a lot

    His offense is right around what he usually does, so once he hopefully gets his defense to be calculated better (cause right now it's for some reason rated way worse then ever in his career and he doesn't seem to be much worse then I remember) then it should rise.

    I don't get the low dWAR thing, his defense has been very good. Certainly not worthy of a -0.9
