My one thing is that this FO likes to do things in the dark. Normally you don't hear about the deals that they do make until they are already done. Seems odd that a 3 way is getting so much media traction involving both the Reds and Dodgers when they had the 3 team deal earlier that was done behind the scenes.

 

Haha. People going out on a limb saying "a third team might be involved." When have the nerds ever NOT included a third team?

If Puig is gone, it's kind of a shame, and I kinda blame us, the fans.

The year he came in, we were so under achieving, it was kind of a desperate move on our part. But it got the job done that year in terms of getting to the playoffs.

But it was too soon for a pin head like him. I don't think he ever felt the need to improve it get better or learn. I'm not sure any of us knows how that must feel. It just looks like it zapped his head, and here we are, now begging for him to leave.

Of course this is all on him. Only the player can make himself be better. But I wonder what a year or so more of humble pie in the minors might have taught him about the value of working on the details, the boring stuff, the "video" stuff, you know, the things that make you a long term star.

He has the tools. Too bad it was attached to a head with the IQ of a brick.

I've silently moved over to the "he needs to go" side. He may still become a great player, but it is obvious that he is need of a change of scenery and most likely go to a team where he is going to be less distracted by the world around him. If the team had balls, he should have been in AAA by now and stop with this shit on the MLB level. He's a good player but his ego needs to take a hit so that maybe he can start putting things together. The Royals tried to do that with Ventura and at the time, it did make him realize that he needed to figure his shit out on the field, only they brought him back too fast.

 

If they give up Puig and one of Bellinger or Verdugo(ESPECIALLY HIM), I may fucking lose it.
