Especially if he goes to the Cubs or worse, the Giants. I have supported this new FO pretty heavily, but they lose out to Greinke and they are digging themselves into a hole that a significant chunk of the fanbase will not let them climb out of any time soon.

I know it was just a press conference, but I was REALLY impressed by Roberts today. Seems like a guy the players will enjoy playing for.

Genuinely scared right now that the Dodger have their heads up the azzes about not paying Grienke. Yeah, I know he's a free agent, but for chrizzzz sakes, PAY HIM!

There is literally no replacement available now.

With Price gone, we absolutely need to resign Greinke.

If Greinke is genuinely willing to accept 5 years. Go 5/165 and get this shit done

Greinke deal “could come soon”, Dodgers and Giants lead the bidding
by Drew Silva | NBC Hardball Talk — 34 minutes ago

Jordan Zimmermann signed with the Tigers on Sunday for five years, $110 million. David Price signed with the Red Sox on Tuesday for seven years, $217 million.

Two big dominos have fallen in this loaded free agent market for starting pitchers, and another big one is about to go …

FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal says a deal for Zack Greinke “could come soon” and it’s currently “Dodgers vs. Giants” at the top of the bidding ladder.

ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick confirms that both the Dodgers and Giants are looking for an answer from Greinke, adding that the 32-year-old right-hander seeks a five- or six-year deal with a greater average annual value (AAV) than what Price just secured from Boston. That number would be $31 million, so we’re talking something close to $32 million through 2020-2021.

Greinke opted out of the remaining three years and $71 million contract with Los Angeles in October after posting a 1.66 ERA and 0.84 WHIP across 222 2/3 regular-season innings in 2015. He finished second to the Cubs’ Jake Arrieta in the National League Cy Young Award balloting.

So far, ( and it is premature...mostly, I admit) the Dodgers are shitting the bed.
Dave is a nice manager signing, but like everyone always says, " he can't go out there and do it for them".
What good is Chapman without a Greinke? If of course, we are even in on him.
...an SR of Kershaw and..uh...whoever may make it back from the DL makes Dave's task pretty goddam insurmountable, it would seem.

    • Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that the Braves might be waiting until Zack Greinke makes a decision before determining whether or not they should move Miller. Greinke is said to be choosing between San Francisco and L.A., so it stands to reason that whichever club loses out on Greinke could show an increased willingness to part with talent to land Miller.
    miller is a good pitcher
but let's not kid ourselves... he's not on the same level as zack, price or cueto
losing zack to the giants and then having to part with players/prospects to get an inferior pitcher would be devastating
    stop being cheap bkitches

The #Dodgers have discussed moving Gabe Kapler from farm
director to the coaching staff, but he'll stay in some capacity.

I wanted to quote your response about Fuckhan's smug remark, as "one that could come back and bite them in the ass"...and one they makes me wish I could bitch slap this nerd fuck's face raw.
Why would he have to come out and publically state that? When every Dodger fan's heart is in their throat right now over signing zack...what a douchebag.
