The Mets are doing things and may actually be building somewhat of a contender in the NL East. Tonight they signed Todd Frazier to what could be one hell of a bargain contract. They are taking advantage of this slow market and making a play in a division of 3 rebuilding teams and a front runner that is a SP injury away from being in trouble. I have been waiting for someone do something like this and the Mets have done it with Bruce and Frazier. Their SP stays healthy and they should have an offense and bullpen good enough to keep them in plenty of games. If I were them, I'd be kicking the tires on Cobb or Lynn at this point to fill the middle of my rotation and maybe see about Lucroy on a pillow contract. Not sure how they are going to break this all down, but they could be looking at 2B Cabrera, CF Conforto, LF Cespedes, 1B Bruce, 3B Frazier, RF Nimmo, C d'Arnoud, SS Rosario. I don't see that as a championship team, but it is likely good enough to push the Nats a bit more than what it was looking like a month or so ago.

Good points but I have a feeling A-Gon will be at 1st, not based on what he has done but just a hunch and their pitching will break down.

I’m more worried about the Nationals and Cubs. Especially the Nats with Eaton coming back

Nats are bigger chokers than the Dodgers, personally, not even remotely worried about them.
Well, other than Harper staying healthy so that he can be the best Dodger he can be after next season

That would be incredibly dumb on their part IMO. Bruce, Cespedes, Conforto, Nimmo and Lagares are all better in some capacity than what AGon is at this point. I will be especially interested to see Lagares this spring as he apparently spent the offseason with the same coach that got Chris Taylor and JD Martinez in line.

Like I said, I don't see them as a championship team, but it is at least someone in that division who could make things a little harder on the Nats. What that division was looking like a couple weeks ago was pretty pathetic from a competition standpoint. What could make things worse for Washington is if they get an injury again to one of their big 3 starters as they are a bit weaker in the depth department after the Eaton deal last year and maybe the Mets will hang around to keep things interesting instead of a nice 30 game cushion to work with.

That is what ST is for besides Conforto is coming off of shoulder surgery so won't able to play until May. Ligares while a great fielder hasn't shown hitting ability and Conforto defensive ability to some degree so a platoon is most likely I believe. A-Gon will have every opportunity to show what he has left if any.

agon will get some play against certain rhp
but, other than that, bruce should (and will) get the bulk of the pt
i like agon, but he’s got nothing left
let’s not forget, we traded him for the carcass of matt kemp, and then the braves (essentially) paid him to go away

I see the validity to feeling that, I do...but considering the level of, the stage it's done on and at in both instances, I think we've got the edge on them.
We are on the precipice of classic, all- time worst chokers...and have some superstar individuals as the foundling fathers of it.
