This is for @Bluezoo and @rube

    3B- Turner
    SS- Machado
    2B- Muncy
    1B- Bellinger (ugh)
    C-Grandal
    LF-Kemp
    CF-Taylor
RF-Verdugo/Joc with one of them being traded

Puig... I think he's underrated and over criticized. He's earned his entire contract many times over. But we don't need him.

    Buehler
    Stripling
    Maeda
    Ryu
Kershaw/Urias/Hill/Wood fight for the #5 spot

btw, why does everyone pencil Seager in at 1B next season instead of 2B? Just seems like once you move him out of the middle of the diamond, he'll never be able to return.

This makes no sense to me, but everyone else is saying it so I guess that's what will happen. Taylor's best position is CF, Bellinger's best position is 1B, and Muncy has been playing decent 2B, while Taylor hasn't played there at all.

I was originally in the bring in some arms camp as opposed to the Manny camp.

More I think about it, another stick like Manny's fills a bigger need.

Muncy and Kemp have been revelations, but how long will that continue?

Turner probably won't be 2017 Turner until next year when his wrist is fully healed. Taylor and Bellinger have both regressed and Pederson, Grandal, Kike and Puig are much to streaky to depend upon for an extended period.

Let the Manny era (short as it may be) begin.

The horror of re-upping Carlos Perez after one month of good pitching.

<must admit I was all for it at the time>

Hey Rube, here's one even YOU haven't thought of.......

As an unprecedented publicity stunt in MLB, Machado appears in the NL lineup as they announce the trade in 15 minutes before gametime!

    BOOM!

It's really fucking happening. Lets fuckin crush it. And I trust the FO they can find a couple bullpen arms to shore it up in the 2nd half. And if not, we'll slug teams to death. Machado is an incredibly easy person to root for and fun as hell, so I'm gonna enjoy the hell out of these next months.

They'll plan to announce it after the final out.

Kenley gets the last batter 0-2 with 2 outs and tries to quick pitch. The hitter deposits a crappy cutter into the upper deck to send the game into extras. By the 19th inning, the O's get cold feet and pull out of the deal.

Because Muncy has the offense of a 1B.
Taylor is holding 2B for Seager.
Bellinger is hitting like if he was playing CF, might as well play him there.

Now if they want Seager at 1B next year then in the offseason Muncy has plenty of time to practice 2B.
He is huge though, that is a lot of weight and power to be throwing around in the middle infield.
Injury risk might be a thing for him. He looks really nice at 3B though.

IMO they will end up like you say, with Taylor at CF.
We have a lot OF depth though, would be nice to use one of those spots for a Toles or a Verdugo if Muncy can stick at 2B.

God, knowing our luck that’s a possibility.

Or MM breaks his shoulder trying to score from 2nd base, or some stupid crap like that.
