Apparently the Giants are becoming more and more confident that they’re going to be the ones to land Harper. I think their owners have gotten involved which is not great since he’s like the second richest owner in baseball.

It looks like this is stemming from a couple tweets out of Baggerly from earlier, but MLB radio just a bit ago said something similar. So I expect Harper to sign with the Mariners by the end of March.

 

I mean, it is all speculation. Harper has been close to signing off and on for 3 months. Since it is Boras, I would say hold back from any excitement or disappointment until the dude actually signs.
