They hired him in the off-season to do the games Davis can’t because Steiner asked for a reduced to schedule. Get used to him

Seeing the replays, looks like Verdugo still isn't really squaring the ball up

Not in ops or ops plus and probably not in war or any other metric.
Did Turner even have enough AB to qualify.

I know Joc can mash vs righties and come up big in big moments.
That's a bird in the hand.
    A big bird.
Verdugo is no guarantee be two in the bush. He may not pan out at all while Joc is panning gold vs righties to earn him a big FA deal.

    • The Angels have floated the idea of a 10-year, $350 million extension for center fielder Mike Trout, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported Saturday. Rosenthal clarifies that it’s not yet clear whether the Angels formally extended the offer to Trout or whether they’ve even broached the subject of an extension recently. Real or hypothetical, however, it would be the most lucrative deal in the history of Major League Baseball.

    It's hard to know
But it seems like we've been trying to make deals with Verdugo as the headliner and nothing has gotten done
I think Verdugo is a good fit for our team but maybe other teams want higher ceiling guys or are weary to trade with us since most our position player prospects turn out to be meh.
They've asked for sure things like Seager or one tier below with guys like Cody.

biggest difference between joc and vergudo is mechanics
verdugo's swing is smooth, simple and easy to repeat
joc on the other hand looks like he could blow out his colon

Tim Neverett (had to look it up). Sounds a little like Skip Caray.

They'd better try something and fast. They're on the clock. Harper is already recruiting and he probably doesn't even have to

Justin Turner led the the Dodgers in WAR according to baseball reference despite missing somewhere around 2 months. He was our best player by far last year

If Harper is worth 330, and Machado is worth 300, then Trout is worth $500+. And that’s not a knock on Harper or Machado.
