See, your first mistake was to read anything Rube writes that's longer than three sentences. The second was responding because Rube is from a different plane of existence.

    Yes im on a plane.
    And I cant complain.
    Because my plane.
    Didn't have no window pane.
Just a lonely missile thats plain.
On its way to the tower of pain.
Did you hear a tower fell without no plane?
    That much is plain.
    But im on a plane.
    And I cant complain.

Will the Dodgers go after Trout in '20 if he's a free agent? I could see him having interest if he really likes SoCal but wants to actually contend for a title

So this winter us MLBTR writers put our heads together and wondered if, given the special case of Bryce Harper, the Dodgers would break form and offer 10+ years on a huge free agent contract. Reportedly they wouldn't go beyond five, even if it meant pushing the AAV past $40MM. I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee that says, 'Fool me once, shame on ... shame on you. Fool me... You can't get fooled again.

My way of saying that I'm not going to pick the Dodgers for Trout based on present information.

I don't think the Dodgers are in the same universe when it comes to bidders on Trout.

Just posting because no sense in getting excited on any players wanting long contracts in the future.

If and when the Dodgers are intrested they are predictable on a 4 to 5 year AAV records not long term.

Watch the Phillie open up the checkbook for Trout and they go on to win 3 WS straight.

Meanwhile, Dodger management is happy having made it to the post season 3 straight years.

eh If Trout continues what he has done his entire career the next 2 years, then there is no reason every single team in MLB shouldn't offer him a contract with a full No trade and the years and dollar amount blank for him to fill out to his liking.

Some said of Harper “He wants Mike Trout money, but he’s not Mike Trout.”

I say we don’t know what Mike Trout money is. All I know is we won’t be in on it.

Fuck Bryce Harper, fuck our FO, and fuck ownership.

That said, Julio Urias was clocked at 98mph today. This kid has nasty stuff mixed with the best composure and pick off move in the game. He’s THE key to our success for the next 3-4 years, and there is barely a peep about him in here and the media. Buehler and Urias can deliver a WS to LA, and that’s the only way we get one in the near future.

I'm pretty sure we watched the same documentaries...absolutely disgusting how this little evil , vile pos got away with it for so long isn't it?
What gets me as a response, now that no fucking idiot can deny his demented psyche as they did before, is " but the guy sure was talented"...

" Harper would come in a close 2nd if we sign him, but he'd still be 2nd.. "
That's because Harper is a natural Dodger. Urias is really like an Astro or Yankee.
