    I throw all logic out the window when it pertains to the Cards.

    Matt Carpenter and his .225 average would hit .600 against us and 1.000 off Kershaw.

    If there's any team that'll play above their heads, or go the dirty HBP route in order to piss in LAD's Cheerios, it's STL. I'm with you. I do not want LAD matching up with that

    So who's the favorite for NL CY Young? There aren't going to be any 20-game winners this year. Ryu has the ERA but not the wins. Strasburg has the wins (17-18), but not really the ERA. Fried could also get to 18 but has a curiously high ERA for that many wins. Or will it be a closer this year, like Yates, or will his team's record hurt him? Here's a question... does Kershaw have a shot? 16 wins could put him one off the league lead depending on what the other guys do in their final start, and at 3.05 his ERA is better than those others near the top of the wins list, plus he has fewer losses as well. In reality, that rough stretch a couple of weeks ago probably killed his chances, but I just don't really see any clear-cut standouts.

    There is more than a feeling within the Dodgers media contingent that Kershaw is well aware that he is not pitching at least Game 1 of the NLDS. Belief is Buehler will go game 1, Ryu 2. Roberts hinted today that he and Kershaw have a talk ahead of them.
