How bad ass was Bo Diddley? Had a beat named after him.
one of my best friends comes out in this music video.
He’s jamming out to Kevin once they pan to the left
kind of hard for me to even think about other music after the slow rush dropped
this is fun
Keeping with the theme of the times......Shelter from the Virus.
Just heard this song the first time about 2 months ago and have been listening to it a ton. Feel like taking an edible and watching this blizzard blow through while listening to some tunes.
When I think of Count Basie, I think one of my favorite comedy ever, Blazing Saddles.
If you wanna escape quarantine for about 14 minutes, this one is like acid.
Not a bad backup lead.
Not sure how many of you get down with the Grateful Dead, but I’ll share anyway.
these times are trying... and while this is a quote from one of my least favorite GD songs, this quote rings so very true right now.
“ I will get by, I will survive “... Grateful Dead, Touch Of Grey
Morning Dew, is a fantastic listen .” it’s about a post apocalyptic time about a man and a women originally written by Bonnie Dobson.-Cryptic as fuck but so damn beautiful...one of my all time favorites... enjoy
stay safe bkitches...
I'm partial to RIPPLE myself:
Reach out your hand if your cup be empty
If your cup is full may it be again
Let it be known there is a fountain
That was not made by the hands of man...
And because I'm a sinful fuck, MEXICALI BLUES:
Is there anything a man don't stand to lose
When the devil wants to take it all away?
Cherish well your thoughts, and keep a tight grip on your booze
'Cause thinkin' and drinkin' are all I have today...
Yep. Pretty much.
"I guess the Lord must be in New York City"...
Not so much these days, Harry.
I'm not one of these religious types who's going to say these are the sins of the big city coming home to roost on New York. That's horseshit. Fact is, it's a highly congested city of millions and millions of people in a relatively small area. If this disease was going to ravage any city, it was going to be New York.
Communicability being hand-to-hand or droplet to nose, or whatever... between subways and door handles & cabs & Ubers and hundreds of millions of people flowing through that town year in year out... I just had to be New York.
That's fucked up, but that's germs for you.
Stumbled across this one the other day.......slightly different take on a classic.
Separate names with a comma.
