Mardi Gras or not, like zydeco or not .... David Lindley is the world's best living guitarist ...
Cajun accordian or zydeco fiddle, it's soul movin' music for this cockney wop.
A lot of good stuff on YouTube featuring Lindley and the great Ry Cooder.
my bullys are my best friends
hey i respect Lindley and his music but Page played it standing up just sayin
this didn't even make the live cut of song remains the same!
Lindley plays that style and Page plays his. I get it of course. Music speaks to us individually. I've seen Mister Dave live fifty times. The guy just gets into my soul. My best friend thinks Dave Matthews is the king of the world. I guess that's the beauty of music.
100% i mean i'm not a fan of the boss "got a wife and kids in Baltimore jack, i went out for a ride and i never went back" zero relating to that however
born to run is a masterpiece and songs like tenth avenue freeze out still send chills when i hear it
i always try to listen when a friend says i have to hear this
For the hipsters of today ... Larry Groce knew y'all were full of organic horseshit in 1976, let alone in 2020....
Is it sad that I still remember lyrics??
dr demento was a staple in the room i shared w my brother
that and violence lol
Blew (no homo) two chances to see Lindley locally in the past five yrs. Had other shit going on both times. Hopefully I'll get another chance.

death and hatred to mankind
poisoning their brainwashed minds
Remember hearing Sabbath for the first time in the early 70s. Never heard anything like it.
my mom was scared
Diabolous in musica
always thought Geezer was underrated
I have been told that you can sing 'Deck the Halls' to this tune, and vice versa.
Christmas will never be the same.
I was at an Ozzy show around that time.
It was bittersweet.
I always wanted to see Ozzy live.
I had a great seat.
Except it was as a guest at a county facility adjacent to the Glen Helen pavilion.
Great sound though.
saw him play in long beach and metallica opened for him
had never even heard of metallica before that and needless to say it was a hard act to follow
never been to a show w more people passed out in my life
bodies literally laying everywhere in the halls and stairways
don't understood that about going to live shows
i enjoy a good buzz as much as the next guy but what fun is not being able to remember anything?
Yeah, I been mind wiped too many times.
It's nice when other people remember your memories for you.
use to go to Eek a Mouse shows all the time. we would get to the shows early to be right at the stage front and center in local LA Clubs like the Key Club, Billboard Live, troubadour to name a few.
I’d be front and center with my elbows on the stage rolling joints. Passing them to the mouse and his band mates. They would partake , thank us, shake our hands and pass it back all while jamming. I would literally break up nuggs on the stage and roll joints all show while vibing to the music. Fucking epic times. Man it was good to be young with zero shits to give.
anyway cheers homies
