Planes being shot down, beheading 9 year old kids and a massacre like this? And a communique that states "but American blood tastes best, and we will be tasting it soon"...???
It's the worst thing this prick has ever spewed out, that ISIS is contained...on this very day, of all days.

One of the first things the USMC ever did was fight the Barbary pirates, when there were no applicable economics involved, nor even a country of Israel in existence...and that was 200 years ago.

Hey, I don't like talking politics on this board. You can never get anyone to agree to your viewpoint. It just ends up pissing off people more.

But, we don't know who committed these crimes as much as we didn't know at first that it was Timothy McVae that blew up the federal building in Indiana. Although in all likelihood it was a Muslim extremist act, it is still not 100% clear.

Assuming it was ISIS, which a lot of you are assuming, be aware that ISIS began after Bush invaded Iraq and inserted a Shiite majority government to the exclusion of the Sunni minorities, which happened to include most of the former Iraqi military leadership and government. By excluding the Sunnis and not giving them a voice, they did the only thing they thought they could do to protect themselves from a Shiite massacre. Iraq is a Shiite majority country that was long ruled by a Sunni minority dictatorship. What would you have done as a Sunni?

Compounding the problem was while Bush was leading troops on a goose chase looking for nuclear and chem/bio weapons that didn't exist, they didn't secure any of the conventional weapons. This led to an instant source of explosives for IEDs and what was soon to become a Sunni military/terrorist organization that later became ISIS.

Note ISIS is a Sunni movement. Who else are Sunnis? The majority of Muslims including most of the Gulf States like Saudi Arabia. There is a lot is ISIS support in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Dubai, Quatar....etc. These are supposed to be our allies.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah and Iran are majority Shiite. This is why they are also fighting ISIS.....this makes us allies with......hmmmm....Iran?

Complicating things is the uprising against the dictatorship in Syria. Assad is trying to destroy an uprising of his people, most of which are Shiite. The rebels are getting pounded by Assad and his new ally, Russia, as well as ISIS which is again Sunni.

So who do you bomb? Which side do you take? Who's enemy is who's enemy and why?

I'm not even mentioning how Turkey is becoming more a Islamist country and is now attacking the Kurdish minority who has been helping us against ISIS and helped us against Al Quaeda and Iraq. Turkey is part of NATO.

To lay this all at the feet of Obama is not fair. He inherited a lot of this crap from 8 years of Bush policies in the Middle East. Plus the complications of the Arab nations would make your head spin. There are no easy answers.

Just walking in and bombing the crap out of people has not helped....will never help.

And as long as we still want to drive in gigantic pickup trucks and SUVs, and sit on our ass watching games on 65 inch TVs, nothing will change because we want that liquid, black gold.

So at least support energy change policy then....and be less reliant on an resource found primarily in politically unstable locations.

Good point Devil...amazing how 77% of the influx are young men, ages 18-30...never before, in the history of the world has that been the percentage of any "refugee wave", at any time, anywhere. Makes you think.. Where's all the children and old ladies and men? The women?
The non- muslim world has been fighting these savages for as long as they have been in existence, certainly before the internal combustion engine was invented or SUVs. As if it would stop if we all drove a Prius.
