    I'd get a Civic instead.

Exactly what I did and I'm so happy with the performance, power and 35 mpg with the A/C on nearly constantly. I'm driving along a freeway and have to look down to make sure I'm not hitting 90 which has happened several times lol.

The 5 door Mazda 3 is hella dope. 4 door is cool too
I guess in terms of long term investment, go with a Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla

But the Mazda 3 is a bit more nicer, sportier, and not as common. If you're only going to have it a few years go with the Mazda

The Civic comes in many trims, and the Si version will be coming to the US soon.

It also means it comes at many price points.

That being said, it's generally more expensive than the Mazda.

I've driven both, and the new Civic models are significantly better than the 2015 and 2016 models are much better than the earlier ones.

I just like the feel, the smooth linear power delivery, and it can really rev high...it kinda tells you to push it. It seems to just feel higher quality than the Mazda.

Resale value will also hold up better....important if you are considering moving up in the coming years.

    Anyway, just an opinion.

You kinda being a contrarian here too Darth.
No need to pick a fight all the time.
Personally im tired of people starting fights on DSP over every little thing.
He asked about Mazda sure, but he also said he had a list of other cars he was considering.
Still, no need to jump down old man codge for any and all perceived slights.

They're not perceived and it's never lost on him to use my posts as a down-facing springboard.

But I guess the ref always catches the second punch. ;)

Quoting me to be contrarian, again. If a Honda needs a Mazda to make a point then it's inferior as well. ;)

    @doyerfan
    depends what you're looking for
don't know much about mazdas but i'm told they make good cars
hondas are a great investment because they're dependable and [because of their immense popularity] the parts aren't hard to find and almost anyone can work on them
are you buying new or used?

Thanks, and new. Yeah I can't go wrong with the two and I'm still not entirely sure if I'm leasing or buying. If I buy, I might lean more towards Honda just cause of the good re-sale value.

When, in reality, it had a singularly huge effect on being PC in it's infancy.
When TV was truly great. Really great.

Oh, and lots of after market parts on the Honda side to soup up your ride if you are into that.
