In the real world that we created bunts are for losers who don't know the value that analytics brings to your agents negotiating power in your behalf.
Nobody cares how many players you moved over or how many runs you helped manufacture when its time to get paid.
So if you care about bunts you are an uneducated rube that does not understand the realities of the game.
That the only things you will be paid for are the the things that the market values.
And the market does not value being a good baseball player.
They value being a good professional.
What kind of business do you think the MLB is running around here... amateur hour?
We haven't had that spirit here since 1989.

Bunting still has value to a team game period.

Bunting for hits and to move runners is dandy, but the best result would be to make the shift obsolete.

So happy that racism is officially over now that the Redskins are changing their name.

The name they have decided on is the Washington Noble Savages.
    To "honor Native Americans" everywhere.

Just saw " Greyhound ", on a Plex download...Tom Hanks' new one, true story about the destroyer that helped cover the 1942 convoys to supply England. They were sitting ducks for the U Boot Wolf Packs for 50 hours each Atlantic crossing, because air cover range ran out and wasn't picked up again until close enough to Ireland.
Hard to believe over 72,000 men gave their lives in supply convoys then.
Really well paced and exciting, and a feast for WWII naval aficionados...well done and I always welcome a true story about American competence and flat out balls.
    Worth checking out.

...and wrote the screenplay for it too.
Astute observation, Devil, and it is a rarity. It would be counterproductive, imo, to discount him considering all the iconic and influential films he's been part of. Even Hollywood isn't that stupid.
Whether you like him or not, I think basically, talent and a higher level of professionalism rises to the top...still...once in a great while.
Praise all dieties for that small mercy...

back in the early 90s my step daughter went to an elementary here in Chatsworth where Rita Wilson's sister was a teacher
my wife never wanted to attend the school stuff so i was went alone w both the kids
we had a flirty eye thing happening for a few weeks and at one point my kid said she wanted to talk to me
definitely caught me off guard and in the short conversation i disclosed that i indeed was married to her mother
that was the end of that lol
found out a couple of weeks later who she was related to
she was cute but i couldn't tell you her name and couldn't find anything on the internet

I truly wish I could say that about myself.
Took me longer to grow up, much to my shame.

    Sometimes we are born men.
Sometimes we have to be made.
Once you are made the past is water.
