    Has anyone ever had a shoulder replacement? I think probably no, due to age related arthritis, which is my problem.
    I was diagnosed yesterday as needing one.
    Anyone?

    my dad had a very positive experience with it.....his shoulder was shot due to years and years of tennis.

    Had to wear a sling the first couple of months and go through physical therapy but things were back to normal again for him after about four months.

    The same as they do your hip. The cut the top of the ball of your arm bone, shove a rod down your bone with a new ball head, and reline your socket with a new cup, in effect creating a new ball and socket joint with fake shit as cartilage, that is no longer there.
    I've got nothing but bone on bone.
