Great outing by malholm. Kept us in the game while Kennedy made us his bitch. Glad we pulled that one out...

Can't believe we have the best record in the NL. Kershaw was hurt, bullpen was bad, no CF, plenty of injuries. Amazing amazing. Proud of this team but also speaks to how we know it can still definitely get better, And the rest of the NL better shit themselves thinking about that

It was old fashioned pitchers duel which isn't exciting to watch but then again not every game can be. I had a birds eye view up in the top deck and that 2nd pitch to Puig was outside and the 3rd strike was low. That umpire and umpires in general these days are WAY to quick with the hook. His action took away a lot of excitement and I hope the umpires will talk to him about it. Just glad AJ was able to come through!!!! Maholm was TERRIFIC!!! Who da thunk it!!!

Wow...Maholm gets the game ball for me, and really good to see AJ get involved in a winning way. Classic game, and as much as I hate to say it, Kennedy was as good as it gets. Great duel...actually, I think the Pads have some decent pitching going for them. Not bad.
Too bad Jansen gets the W and not Maholm, because Kenley was lucky he didn't give up the ghost in the 9th. Got tagged multiple times and Headley's shot was a laser, and I was glad an experienced RF like Dre tracked it down.(take note , Ned).
Surprising how DBB took KKemp out of CF as soon as SVS came in.
I think that the first pitch was definitely a ball to Puig, but the second was a strike all day long, and he has no right to question anyone after his idiocy the game before, which evidently is forgotten about.
Like Vinny said, he called or said it was "stupid" of the umpire, and deserved to be tossed. If I was an ump, I wouldn't take that from a player, especially one who hasn't a clue about such a large part of how the game of BB is played. Puig is an asshole much of the time. A real asshole.
That being said, the umping has sucked for years, enter replay because of the ineptness going on for so long and so often.
But while they are out there, if a player with the IQ of Forest Gump, like the doltish Puig insults them, he will always get tossed. Puig is not too far removed from being a rookie, and his numbers are similar to many other players in the ML right now, great arm or not, and only his huge ego makes him to act the way he does. A little humility would go a long way with him, IMO.
Anyway a hard fought W, and lets do a 3/4 thing here... need a fucking offense though.
And hopefully, not the recent Ryu...
