Fuck that umpire. You can't let Jansen cool down just by being a fuckwit like that. Luckily he's the man.

The only real shit part of that game was seeing Logan Forsythe enter. Luckily, we got to watch a second baseman who didn't strand five hundred runners tonight for most of it.

Was worried about that, too. No problem for Jansen, though.

In the '74 Series, Mike Marshall experienced a similar delay, refused to take any warmup pitches (he was always the smartest man in room or so he thought), then game up the game winning HR to Joe Rudi.

Least educated, maybe...sort of. But stupidest? They've got serious competition with the NFL.

There's no way baseball players are dumber on average than NFL or NBA. Also, I've been running through the all time greats in my head and I feel like 95% of them come across as highly intelligent -- Bonds, Mantle, Dimaggio, Williams, Foxx, Koufax, Maddux, I mean...idk

One look at a NFL team´s playbook will have you questioning that stance
Kareem Abdul Jabbar´s as smart as any of those guys, Kobe more than likely as well, and Kyrie Irving is very intelligent..just 3 to sort of represent their eras

    Sounds about right
Wonder where the individual sports like tennis, golf and boxing would land

Eh. A small crowd at Dodger Stadium would sellout Fenway Park, Wrigley Field, AT&T, etc. You're not getting 56,000 people to come out on a Sunday afternoon and sit in the heat. It may only be 85 but it feels a lot hotter. When we get the 5:00 start time on Sunday Night Baseball the stadium is packed.

Rockies were just swept by the Marlins, but the bigger story is that Arenado took a fastball to the wrist and immediately came out of the game. No announcement yet, but he looked to be in considerable pain.

that group there to start the game would be hard pressed to sell out a phone booth.

After his 1-11 against the Dodgers Stanton has been killing it.

Yeah, he's been on an absolute tear. He tends to go on these crazy runs, then something stupid happens and he gets hurt from it. Hopefully he can keep it rolling and they can take a few from the Nats down the stretch.

If the Dodgers have 40,000 in the stands there are still 16,000 empty seats. Basically an NBA arena of empty seats.

There are plenty of people there. The stadium is 5 tiered plus two pavilions with nothing but seats. Other stadiums have a couple split decks, patios and luxury suites so 35k looks like a packed house.

So, then...there are whole bunch of millionaires around who can't explain the Theory of Relativity.
    Alrighty then.
Considering the 25-40 man rosters of 30 teams against NFL /NBA murderers, dog killers, domestic abusers, gangbangers, drug dealers, armed robbers, etc.,
    comparatively...
I'd take Lenny Dykstra reading Shakespeare over those slimy elements any day.

Only Pad I can generate any disdain for Sanchez because he carries the stench of the Giants.
