Geez I wonder what would be a good investment if someone had the money to invest in something right now.
To be fair, in the Obama administration, unemployment fell from 9.9% (Dec 2009)...after it jumped from 7.3% (Dec 2008) Let's also compare early term performance to early term performance: While the Democrats had the WH and congress with huge majorities and they could do anything they wanted (Jan 2009-Jan2011) unemployment was 7.3%, 9.9%, and 9.3%. S&P 500 gains during that period were 23%, 13% and 0%...after having fallen 38% the year before...one of the slowest recoveries from any recession. That same period also saw the injection of trillions of dollars of QE "money" into the very top of the system, representing the single largest transfer of wealth from people to institutional investors in American history. Taking an economy that was at the bottom of the worst recession in 80 years and dragging the recovery over 3 years with historically high unemployment, and transferring unfathomable amounts of cash to investment banks certainly doesn't feel like something to be proud of. I think taking a relatively healthy economy in 2016 and delivering good S&P returns and bringing the economy to full employment is a much more significant accomplishment. I don't like Trump, but it's really hard to argue with the economic performance. One thing he's really fucked up was ballooning the debt, continuing the policy of the last two administrations. Oddly enough, he's rarely criticized for that. This is probably the most serious issue in the economy going forward, and now that things are good, it's probably time for austerity. Really, this whole discussion is an argument about correlation without examining causality. Fed monetary policy over the last 40 years has probably had more impact than President or Congress.
This is only anecdotal, but I work a a company that has been growing steadily over the last 20 years. From a hiring perspective, it was really, really easy to hire people (all disciplines...from unskilled to PHD engineers and scientists) from 2008 to 2018--there were a lot of job seekers. It's been really hard to find people the last couple years, and you have to offer really attractive compensation packages. I'm also seeing massive internal wage growth over the last few years compared to the previous 10.
i'll just leave this here the man predicted the future and this is one of my favorite political speeches of all time sure most of you know it but listen to those first 6 minutes again
They would do austerity if they believed they could save. They already in to deep with all the QE and foreign debt. Credit is the only way forward for every single president. They know something we don't want to believe. Or they believe the country will win the next war. Wiping all debts and topping off the coffers. Either way its a matter of faith.
Anyone that creates a coalition to come to you in peace = fishy. The UN always seemed like a nice way to group up a lot of nation votes as a bully pulpit for one or an oligarchy of a few powerful nations to try and one day knock off the champ. Slowly building up a tower of babel to climb up little by little before the US notices that whats inside is a giant warhead with our name on it. I know im a dreamer and I say a lot of stuff. But maybe im not wrong. I grew up with that man on my wall.
of course it pales in comparison the roaches, hairy legs, Corn pop speech by Joe how is he actually in the conversation? well actually i guess he isn't
I tried but after 6 minutes I was halfway through some video of adults pretending to be jr high dumbasses 20 years ago and it was riveting in comparison. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=578052163051862
Elusive Cotton (R-AR) is spewing the same kind of tinfoil shit without any evidence. What 4chan forum are you sharing with your congressmen? Geezes. https://twitter.com/davidgura/status/1229073825431724033?s=21
I hear it's from eating living baby rats, dead snakes and undead bats. Plus monkey brains gives hiv. And forest deer brain gives Lyme. But I live near a lot of very powerful antennas. Probably time to move with that 5g upgrade coming online.
I eat canned sardines. Madrigal sardines only though. In olive oil and chili. And baguettes. With some butter or soft cheese at home. And some olives and pepperoncinis. So good. Get it all at the vietnamese market in pomona. 2 cans of sardines, 2 baguettes, 2 bunches of deep greens like purslane and watercress, and a 2 lb fried fish while you shop. All for about 15 bucks. Feeds 4 people at lunch with no prep just divide the bread, fishes, and greens. Oh and 5 more bucks for a gallon of green tea or 4 mexican sodas. So thats 20 bucks to feed 4 people a good lunch. Or just me sometimes.
If you read the article (I know you didn't) you'd see they cite a Chinese University Paper that suggests the possible connection. Here's another source: https://www.thenews.com.pk/print/615052-did-coronavirus-originate-in-chinese-govt-laboratory And it's citation as a reliable source: https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-news-international/ Or do you need me to post something from Vox or Mother Jones. So the real question is, why are you so sure that there isn't a connection? Because your political masters have told you not to consider that possibility?
Pakistani news? They helped hide Bin Laden for years im sure. Their source "a chinese university" Yeah like anyone has any ability to fact check that. And the source uses words like 'may' and 'possible' when making shit up to make it more palatable. It even says beijing controlled south wuhan TECH school. Its a state party sponsored communist Devry "scholars" who we are getting rumors from that it may have probably originated at a rival school near the market. Is mediabiasfactcheck.com an actual real thing man? You gotta do better than any of this. Or else you making the other argument easier.
He's not making arguments, and neither are you. Because some people in some country did something, everything from that country is false. Is making things up a thing? Because you would think the paper would toe the party line, not contradict it. Eh?
That's what they want you to think! Actually probably. Look at it this way... One child policy created a generation of seniors with very few options for retirement and elder care. With so few family to take care of these aging communists the burden has to go to the party. It's good design for what the party wants. Which is now mostly funded by those single children who have created the new wealth of social security. They also created more babies with relaxed childbearing rules. Creating a massive boom of elders and children dependants for a godless communist machine trying to control a mass of people always on the edge of falling into chaos if not for the party and it's ample supply of funny drug money. The pursuit of capitalism being the new dragon to chase has the dogs foaming at the mouth. And it's no country for old men over there right now. They are culling their own people. And what china does at home is always just to test the market and work in the links before it's repackaged for export to the kinky USA. Don't read what china says. Don't read what the who says. Or the USA. Watch live leaks from doctors nurses and patients. Real people dying in wuhan. Shit is not contained.
