    No defending Schmidt but Jones was a fluky shit show no one saw coming and short term. Also, there were some un-calculated negative signings by Ned who laid eggs after being effective trades the prior years. like League, Wilson and Lilly.

    puig has these shorts flashes of his former self
    but always seems to revert back to what he (now) is
    a couple weeks ago he worked a tough at bat into an opposite field single
    now he's back to the pull happy auto out
    any pitcher with half a brain can exploit it

    I bash him as often as anyone here, but he had a very good game last night.

    Smoked a double to left, was robbed of another on a nice play by the RF and singled to LF in his final AB (and scored the winning run).

    Also played his usual stellar RF defense.

    I agree but so you know and it wasn't a hit but he was robbed on a nice play in RF by Schebler or he could have been 3 - 4 yesterday.
