Seager has been and is remaining at SS for the foreseeable future, he can fit at SS until Hanley is done at 3B. Hanley defense will be less noticeable at 3B.

the .240 hitting catcher hits 20HRs a year, plays elite defense behind the plate and calls a great game at the most important position in the field..

oh and Pederson just so happens to be a CF by trade..where 23yr old Yasiel Puig is now holding up residence.

 

God bless Joc Pederson..but Yasiel Puig is looking like the answer in CF. that's just too bad..for him. not for us.

You want CC or Ethier starting until they are on the wrong side of 35? I don't. As far as Hanley, even in his "Down" year (you seem to forget how awesome he was last season), he has still been one of the two or three best offensive SS's in the game this season. He's gonna get paid.

LF is easily plugable, bro. nobody in the org is looking at Pederson as a " LF savior "..his value is in CF.

he'll get paid, but the years committed to Hanley will directly have to do with which league he prefers to play in..NL or AL. because he's a DH in waiting, brotha. there's no way around it. he's not gonna be good, or even average, at 3B defensively either.

Santana would've hit his way out of the position as a Dodger too. you see what's going on with Posey in SF. some guys are just far better hitters and have more value when they're standing up as opposed to crouching all game. Wieters' batting average likely suffers a tad because of that, but he's elite defensively and still bangs out 20HRs a year + calls a great game to boot. he's just a natural back there. we'll see how he comes along after having Tommy John, but he's expected to be healthy for the start of next season.

 

Puig isn't a great CF, so I don't know what you're all rilled up about. either way I don't want Crawford/Ethier starting for the next 5 years.

it's not like Wieters is the only option though..Martin will be out there of course and maybe Magic can recruit him and get him back on a decent deal. he would bring a little speed to the position..break up some double plays and allow us to keep some innings rolling.

 

he's growing into a pretty good one right before our eyes and he's an all-star bat in the majors..we know that much.

if SVS is as good as you say he is, you don't have to worry about that, do you? and there's also Guerrero who's getting work in LF..see how easy it is to fill LF?

 

well no it's not that easy, because SVS isn't an everyday starter and Guerrero is a complete unknown.

 

thanks for playing? Lol alright, man. you went from " Hanley's played great this year " to " Hanley's had a real good year "..slowly, but surely you're coming around. Hanley had a 3.5 WAR this year..good for 4th on the team. and his dWAR was Jeteresque. smh he fell back considerably in all facets this year. just reality. i'm a Hanley fan and i hope he goes wild in the playoffs..go Dodgers..but i'm realistic about his year and his future.

and btw, if you're moving Hanley to 3B you can stop using the " great year at the plate for his position " material as well. won't be able to hide behind that anymore, my man.

are you certain about that? and you're certain that Joc is? my, my, my.

then why is it appalling to think that he could be packaged in a deal to get a known impact player at an impact position?
