    2B Barney
    CF Puig
    1B Gonzalez
    RF Kemp
    LF Van Slyke
    3B Turner
    SS Arruebarrena
    C Ellis
    P Hernandez

I would swap Turner and Barney, but other then that: Barney+Arruebarrena up the middle for a Hernandez start is fantastic.

We have struggled against lefties this year, big time. Puig/Gonzalez/Kemp have all been average or bad against them, so hopefully they start to turn that around along with Van Slyke helping out

Lets win and hope Hernandez continues to impress as he might be a lot more important then we'd want him to be

I know Kershaw and AJ are real close but I don't think personal relationships have that big an effect on the front office, as they shouldn't. I mean, the Dodgers released Shawn Tolleson and he was Kershaws best friend not just from the Dodgers but like growing up. What AJ and Kershaw have is nice, but it's not like Kershaw is going to turn into Barry Zito if you put someone else back there. In fact, a better pitch framer (See: Russell Martin) would make Kershaw, and the rest of the pitching staff, better overall which would be amazing

well, i'd obviously prefer Martin over Ellis. has anyone seen Martin's slashes from his 81 games played this year? .285 avg/.408 obp with a .805 ops

I think it's funny that AJ and Ethier have those averages against Stultz. In fact, I think it's funny that CC finally rakes, and is not playing because of the R/L thing. Uh...what happened last night?
I'd love to see SVS do something outstanding tonight anyway.
And I am watching the MYM(our next opponents) pummel Oakland, but Oakland coming back, and all the talk is on Greinke, and how the Giants will have an opportunity to move on up to the deluxe apartment in the sky if he goes DL.
If there was a flair up some time ago (3 starts ago?), why pitch him at all and get him to this point?

    Can't Mattingly just go away?
Sell tractors or do marriage counselling or some shit? Anything but be in the LAD dugout.
Wow...I never thought I would rather have HoF manager, Joe Torre, back, but God help me, I do.
Obviously his overuse of pitchers tradition couldn't get much fucking worse than what has befallen the staff at this very moment.
    It's almost unbearable...

What I'm thinking is that whatever AJ and Kersh have been doing obviously works. If Kersh is comfortable throwing to AJ then bring him back as the backup and he can be his personal catcher.

If I'm in the FO I go to Kersh and say, "hey we're going to go another direction at catcher and we want you to be on board with it". If he says no I want AJ as my catcher I say no problem he'll be back. If he says he understands and is ok with it then we upgrade if we can but really, who's available? Martin is probably going to get a fat paycheck since he's basically the only catcher worth a shit that will be a FA and I'm not sure he can live up to it. It'll just be another bad contract.

In conclusion, AJ is smart. He's basically another coach. Let him sit next to Honeycutt, catch Kershaw, be the backup and share what he sees with Martin or whoever ends up being the #1 guy. Otherwise it's Butera or Fed. Even though Fed seems to tear up AAA he's been awful in the bigs.

Crawford goes 3-3 with a walk and a HR is benched? Typical Mattingly. Carl is actually hitting 275 vs lefties and has been hitting them well lately. I'm not a fan of benching our hottest hitter for a guy that is 5 for his last 30. Hopefully Scott has a great night though

Seriously? What are the odds that we'd get a protest to go our way if we were in a similar situation? Cubs better f'n win that game

It's the right call. Might get some hate because it's the Giants, but you shouldn't lose games because of someone else's incompetence.

Yes, indeed. It's things like this that are a perfect example of DBB dislike and his idiocy....there is no reason to be doing this now. SVS has been as flaccid as saltpeter on a destroyer, too. Whatever that means...you get it.
For those who like DBB, remember moves like this...Dee needed another rest; I think the kid is ready to collapse. But sitting CC is dopamine.
I hope you supporters can rub our faces in it as SVS goes wild tonight.
But really... come the fuck on, Donnie.
Maybe he likes it when people second guess him...and then he can peacock out if he's right. Only one thing wrong with that though...he's not right that much.
