I'm not worried. My big thing has always been get to .500 before the all star break and then start tearing it up after. We're better than them. They're just another mediocre team who is excelling.
First the Dodgers had to climb out of last which they did. Then they had to reach .500 which they did. Then they have to maintain being well over .500 which they will. And then they will take over the division lead and keep it the rest of the season. It's all about having goals.
I'll say this, if we didn't suck earlier, and I mean if we just played .500 ball, they're eating our dust. Now that we're actually playing better, we shouldn't be worried by them. Like I said, they're mediocre. They don't have the pitching and Goldshit can't carry them to a championship.
The D'backs have the worst record of any 1st place team in the Majors, it's hard to complain about that even if they are getting giftwrapped wins. In all seriousness, I am more worried about the Rockies and Giants. There is just something completely uninspiring about the D'backs, plus we've seen this "good-first-half followed by a meltdown" routine from them before.
