Teh KEMP DRAMA Thread

Here's what is going to happen with Kemp. He's going to tear it up in San Diego, then they are going to trade him for much more than what we got.

Davey Lopes and Ron Cey were both traded, but both are still involved with the Dodgers. It's not a life sentence. I honestly like Kemp as a player and he always seemed like a nice guy, but what exactly was he going to teach our young players?

 

We just have to change the bandages to camo and we can keep it.

 

Lopes ehhh, Cey never should have been traded. Who knows what he could teach them down the line? Just don't feel right with it. He wasn't a mercenary like say andru jones so I don't feel like you flip him at the drop of a dime. For all I know it was kemp who wanted out. But, it just feels dirty

real talk. Kemp himself didn't give a fuck about being " our guy " when he used Stewart to express his ideas about moving on to another team last season. the way i see it..he finally got what he wanted. now WE move on.

 

The ONLY way this is OK is if we get Hamels.

I fucking love Kemp and he is a top 20 player and I dgaf what any advanced stats say. I will miss him vastly.

And seriously, we just gave away Kemp for $15M a year....think about that.

 

How much would you pay and who would you give up for a career .292 hitter with 182hrs, 170 sb and ops .845?

Games Played isn't an advanced stat.

And we gave up Kemp for $15M a year + a major league catcher under team control for 4 years.

You don't. Urias would likely become the centerpiece which could make some sense because eventually having a rotation with Kershaw, Hamels, Ryu, and Urias doesn't make much sense anyways.
