No way, he doesn't even have 200 PAs in AA, expect him to spend the first 6-8 weeks in Tulsa, and then finish the season in OKC before a september call-up.

Are all these guys replacing people or are we just making new jobs/titles?

When this frenzy is over can we have a list of our FO and a description of what each of them actually do?

This is getting confusing to me.

I thought Byrnes was the scouting director...or K(r)apler??

yeah, it's getting fucken annoying and it hasn't even started yet
are we just buying these guys to take them away, or do they serve any actual function with us?
can't remember who said it, but the "too many chefs in the kitchen" may apply

Typically the GM is the guy under fire when sub par performances keep getting repeated.
President of baseball operations is way more nebulous
    sooo
Stan is safe since no one at GG knows their collective filthy rich asses from a hole in the swing
Friedman is safe for a few years because he's new

The rest of these fucks are to be wasted one at a time it seems
just to keep the fire off of Stan and Friedman

For the record, Bills buyout happens this season, not next.

But anyhow, I would argue that payroll starts getting cut in 2015 with trades that send big contracts elsewhere (albeit the Dodgers are still on the hook because they have to ship dollars to the new team). I still don't see Grienke opting out though.

No matter what the actual financial obligations are, I speculate that the team that takes the field opening day 2015 will be lower cost than the team that started in 2014.

That what I mean by it being done next off-season, that $3M will go away next november. You are probably right though, the OF being moved will start that this off-season, maybe it adds another $5M per season (assuming the money is spread out evenly). To be honest, Zack would be stupid to not opt-out, when Shields gets 5/100, Zack will be thinking he can get the same, they'll both be 32 going into their respective off-seasons(Shields this year, Zack next year).

I mean, I don't think he is but teams also have more money and salaries are always just naturally gonna get higher and higher. Whereas Shields woulda got like 13-15 mil before, now teams might not care about an extra 5-7 mil to stop them from something

I tell you...if I ever am to be a "sacrificial lamb" anywhere, I'll take the Ned CO type sacrifice that went on droning for fucking years and years of the team losing in the end, and made millions of dollars, I'm assuming... before they finally made a change that should have been made a lo-o-o-ng time ago.
yeh, that's the way I would like to be sacrificed away.
Like if I cut someone's head off, I'll take the OJ punishment.

I just wasted a few minutes trying to learn NedCo's salary history with the Dodgers and Google was not so kind as to burp up ANY data despite my varied choice of search phrases... maybe Irish has a better source

...like I really need to know how much money was wasted on this fool anyways...
