    From the very 1st AB.
Several scouts that I follow had a good time at that ump's expense, it really was silly how just about everything had to be over the heart of the plate to register.
Agreed, from what AF said we'll see him again and probably in multiple roles, and good because he's excellent, good experience regardless and his track record says he adjusts in tremendous fashion the 2nd go round

Hard to judge a guy that young too. Kershaw crapped the bed his first season and the ESPN board was ready to sell him for peanuts.

Same people were laughing at the Angels when Trout debuted. I specifically remember this quote: "There is the Angels chosen one! About to be forgotten as quickly as every other Angels prospect!"

The thing is the talent is def there. We saw it with the velocity and the mechanics. Who knows how his career will turn out... but he has a better shot at becoming an All Star than many.

    and the poise
didn't seem at all affected by the big stage
actually liked that he was displeased by the ump... who was squeezing him

    Poise is never unwelcome.

    Getting rattled is never welcome.

At least the kid weighed in on the correct side of that scale

    He'll be back

and with all of the sore arm wingers we have left at least Urias is getting another chance... too bad it comes at the expense of Wood being on the DL because every so often he looks pretty good.

Urias to start Thursday; Maeda, Kershaw pushed back
by Eric Stephen | SB Nation

The Dodgers have shuffled their rotation for the next few days, and will slot in Julio Urias to start Thursday's series finale against the Chicago Cubs.

Urias made his major league debut on Friday and will be pitching on five days rest. He was scheduled to pitch on Thursday for Triple-A Oklahoma City before getting recalled on Tuesday night when Alex Wood was placed on the disabled list with elbow soreness.

Kenta Maeda would have started Thursday for the Dodgers, but has swelling in his right hand stemming from getting hit by a line drive on Saturday against the Mets. Instead, Maeda starts Friday's series opener against the Braves back at Dodger Stadium, with Clayton Kershaw on Saturday, the latter which was Wood's slot.

Maeda is 2-0 with a 1.61 ERA in four starts on exactly five days rest this season, with 20 strikeouts and five walks in 22⅓ innings.

Moving Kershaw back a day to Saturday has two potential benefits — he now will get five days of rest for two consecutive starts, and it lines him up to start the series opener against the rival Giants next Friday, June 10 in San Francisco.

Oh yeah, Urias changed his uniform number, as expected.

as far as that motley list above only Yeager has ANY cred whatsoever and it is thin so the #7 is wide open for improvement
