And how about Griffey, and Thome, and Chipper, and Helton, and Berkman and countless other future HOFers who've never tested positive for steroids or been linked to them in any way?
So because one player took steroids and got away with it for a few years that means every player who's good might be taking them?
cmon man it was a LOT and just because some of those guys you mention were not linked. it was like doing cocaine was in the 80s. no one thought it was that bad.
but i can tell you really like albert so i hope for you nothing tarnishes his image. to me it seems he played his hand perfectly and i give him credit.
As far as I know Andruw Jones never tested positive either. Or Kevin Brown. Or Mike Piazza. Or Nomah. I'm not trying to say we should put an * next to Pujols name. I'm just saying I had concern during the offseason because of this, and so far Albert isn't performing for the Angels. It's speculation, but mainly I'm just glad we didn't sign up for that albatross of a contract.
So because a portion of people cheated it means anyone who achieves success must have? That's not fair.
I don't really like him, I don't care about him either way, I actually think it'd be funny if that contract blows up in their faces, but I'd be arguing the same way for Bautista, or Kemp for that matter.
it wasn't really thought of as cheating until it was. not running away from the convo but i have to close the lair and go home.
Sooooo... then you're OK with a straight up wager comparing Loney's season ending stats versus Pujols's? It might appear that I'd be giving away a huge head start to Loney's stat lead thus far but I'd be willing to defend my position provided you'll give points... Hmmm...
aw... I was thinking of a fair deal... subtract Pujuls closing BA from Loney's or vice versa and the loser owes the winner that many beers... which have to be shared... or some s uch drunken scheme...
