They owe Bartman an apology. We must wallow in our squalor for yet another year. And we have to fear the fact that for some of us at least, we may not see another WS win while we are still alive. Now I am really depressed.
If I were the Indians, I'd burn Bauer jerseys......just to get the frustration out. Then I would slowly burn Francona for intentionally walking the bases in a non-NL field where the pitcher isn't next.....twice. Bad move
both managers made poor decisions maddon would have been second guessed forever had they lost but for the tribe to choke away a 3-1 series lead... wow
I don't think he'll ever go back. They have made tons of attempts to apologize (coming from the Catching Hell doc) and he's just not into it. But I hope he can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Dude was wrongfully demonized. Angers me that I share a first name with moises Alou, the asshole who couldn't keep his cool in game 6.
I guess my self portrait right now would be more like . I wish I was the happy little purple guy. Feeling happy for Cubs fans? Can't really share in that myself. Not that I really care about Cleveland fans either. The only bright spot in this whole thing is that at least the gnats didn't beat the Cubs, and then innevitebly follow the same path to a championship.
IMO, the Cubs fans don't deserve Bartman to forgive them. "Oh now that you won, I'm free to show up?" They ruined his life over something ridiculous, it's not that the Cubs need to forgive Bartman, it's that Bartman needs to forgive them
Thought it was pretty cool that probably the best swings of the game were by hitters shortening up and just trying to put it into play (Davis, Geyer and Zobrist). That Davis AB (the game tying HR) was as good as it gets. Adjusting your swing to the situation........what a novel concept.
Well, it's "Go Raiders" as the concellation prize. That and having to get all so appreciative of being " one of the best teams in baseball". I really wonder how much longer we'll be closing out the season like this one and so many before?
Perfectly said. Reminds me of the Red Sox fans giving Buckner a standing ovation after the 2004 WS. Such BS. The Bartman thing breaks my damn heart. Because he deserved ZERO percent of what he got. Life ruined. Cubs fans and Chicago media like you said are the ones that should be begging for forgiveness. Not the other way around.
Hilarious buddy Of course I paid attention, almost like no one gives Puig ANY credit. Ever. Look I think Baez is one hell of a young player, and in the NLCS his play was extraordinary. Of course, you're perhaps too new here to realize that I'm one of Puig's more staunch supporters... which would make me a Baez supporter too now wouldn't it? "Losing credibility" Now I've got a goal it seems
yup they vilified the guy who did what anyone else would have done and how come the other guy (grey sweatshirt) who also reached out got a free pass? fuck moises alou for being such a crybaby bkitch fuck alex gonzalez for kicking a routine grounder/possible double play fuck prior, farnsworth and remlinger for not being able to pitch after the incident you want to blame bartman for castillo, fine that's one out/run but the truth is your shitty team choked and an entire city/fanbase used an innocent fan as a scapegoat fuck any/all of you who ruined this poor guy's life
You mean Karnak, right? Uh... yeah, if the Cubs lose, it would be on Maddon, imo. Guess we won't he calling you Mr. Spellright anytime soon. Lol.
Hey Diablo...this guy Silencioso you brought here...wtf? Seems like the height of douchebaggery so far...
Yeah. I don't get the guy...you make a harmless statement about a ballgame, not even putting the Cubs down, and the guy comes back with a confrontation. Maybe more time is needed to get used to the guy...some people feel obligated to come back hard even when there is no reason to.
