Yogi Berra Museum@Yogi_Museum It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Yogi Berra passed away Tuesday night at the age of 90. #YogiBerra
"It ain't over till it's over" Though he was a Yankee, I always loved Yogi. Sorry to see the legend go...
Dead at 90. What an amazing life. And OHHHH those quotes... When you come to a fork in the road, take it. You can observe a lot by just watching. It ain't over till it's over It's like déjà vu all over again. No one goes there nowadays, it’s too crowded. Baseball is ninety percent mental and the other half is physical. A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore. Always go to other people's funerals, otherwise they won't come to yours. We made too many wrong mistakes. Congratulations. I knew the record would stand until it was broken. RIP
RIP Yogi...I couldn't stand you when I was a kid, because you were so damn good. Then I met you later on in my life, and you made me laugh with your strangeness. You were truly one of the greats. And no matter what, he was safe.
funny... I read somewhere years ago that the vast majority of ambidextrous players started out as lefties and were sort of compelled to switch hit early in their careers. Seeing as how only ~12% of the population is a lefty this sort of makes sense I'm a lefty who can also throw righty though not as well. I switch hit years ago and had a nearly .020 higher BA hitting righty because I was just trying to make contact whereas when I hit lefty I was always trying to take Joc swings and crush everything. Wonder how that holds true with MLB players?
RIP Yogi. Great one liners and a hell of a player, even though I never even came close to watching him play.
Some pretty phenomenal stats for Yogi. 15 time all-star, 3 time mvp, 7 time in top 4 for mvp, 10 world series titles, more walks than strikeouts all but 2 seasons, hell more homeruns than strikeouts 6 times. A legend
...and a damn brave fighting man who was aboard a rocket boat on DDay. Crazy dudes man. Volunteer stuff.
