This is such a year of redemption ----Crawford and Gonzo on the national stage showing what they can do ----Uribe, the biggest punchline since Jones/Mccourt is the hero. ----Brian Wilson shunned by his former team and is now pitching lights out in the playoffs. ----Hanley Ramirez ran out of town in Miami...the world forgot how good he was, was treated like a second class citizen in the WBC (shoved at 3B and low in the order)...and is back to being one of the best players in baseball. ----AJ Ellis in the minor leagues until he was 30. This is just great. Imagine if we beat the Red Sox in the WS with this group. Crawford, Gonzo, and Punto, and Beckett celebrating on the field.
This guy used to get booed and now he's hugging Magic fucking Johnson. This guy was a competent Louis Cruz and healthier team away from possibly getting let go.
I'm going to vote for all of them as it expresses a "release" by players on a team that have been up and down, in and out of the lineup, a chance to shine when they could, a chance to say "I can still do this", a chance to find out how we can do this, a chance to jell as a team on a mission, a chance to have a different hero every win, a chance to back each other up, a way to overcome questionable decisions made that they were dealt.......I could go on but we all saw this team do amazing things and continue to watch them roll on. I'm proud to be a Dodgers fan and that will never change.........Amen.
