against a team that's really good as far as hitting for contact goes...i'll take Marmol there over the soft tosser and hope Marmol misses some bats
Well said my friend and the cheap shots won't ever bother me.... I'm a Cards fan but most importantly I love the game and everything about it...
Right on there bro.... I don't care for those other kind of drinks either... I like my bud but I sometimes feel the need for some texate, dos XX Amber & Lager,pacifico..... That's my Latin blood coming out of me I guess..... Then if I want that quick pick me up a margarita with a shot of patron sounds awesome....
Like wise my blue brother.... We have had some pretty heated discussions but its in the goodness of the game... The old days a Bob Gibson didn't like the other teams players and that is what baseball is missing... I know it's different now but I think that is the respect we have for one another... Let the shit talking and name calling began, it's almost game time... On the other hand at the end of it all we all love this game and would defend it against all others.... Cheers guys
If the Dodgers were to make it to the WS, I would have to say yes..... I'm a Senior Circuit kind of man, I do have teams that I pull for in the AL both the Tigers and Red Sox aren't it..... I have respect for those teams... I won't have that choice bc Cards are going.....
David Price thinks he'll join other big-name players who were traded after the Tampa Bay Rays determined they could no longer afford them. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/9801412/david-price-tampa-bay-rays-thinks-traded
I demand that this thread be retitled!! as fuck. At least until its the off season. Bad form... even if forward looking Ooooops wrong thread... LOL
Mark did good. Well Puig is a piece of shit in the 5 hole all of a sudden. You could pull their names out of a hat and it wouldn't matter. They are in choke mode again.
Yeah Puig keeps getting fooled... but he's got a quick strong swing and he'll wise up... I hope But our bullpen did pretty darn good keeping us in it until the end. We had numerous scoring chances that we squandered... but we still had more men on base than they did. Greinke had a great game with 10 K's Ethier needs to heal more Puto ahem Punto needs to retire But overall it was a great game that shows we still match up fairly well against a perennial playoff team It unforturnately it showed that the Cardinals have a very deep BP. All of whom throw 98. DSP gets so down on the Dodgers chances but come on Fordie you've been around the game a long time ... We're not out of this yet. Show a little heart.
I think if they lost Greinke/Wainright it'd be different. Losing the Greinke/Kelly match up is tough It's not really about taking home field from STL. It's the individual match ups for each game. A split is all fine and good but I expect us to lose at least 1 of games 3 or 4 (if not both) with Ryu+Nolasco... I think a split is a disappointment. Especially since they pretty much blew the game. I turned it off the second the ball hit Beltran's bat. These NLCS rape jobs are really too much and happen every time.
There are probably better ways to think critically about the series, but I've been socially conditioned to expect the Dodgers to fail and for the Cardinals to succeed. It's the only thing I've ever seen in my life. My mind can't anticipate anything else. If the Cardinals just looked like absolute shit for 5 hours and still beat us...well...let's just say I am not confident as fuck.
