Okay, I'll revise it and say, please not consistently to any part of the field where the opposing players are.
His swing arc on that HR looked a whole lot closer to CarGo's, if DBB was watching he probably jizzed since that was his favorite comparison
Hey, Joc got two hits today...one a big fly. That's pretty good. Improving. Don't sit him now...let him start a few in a row.
Roberts said they are seeing improvement in his approach the last couple of days both in yesterdays game against the BP pitcher, but also in the cage.
How productive were the other 8? I had many a message board argument about Adam Dunn and his K-rate, me abhorring the strikeout while many many others defended it saying the production was well worth it. I softened my stance somewhat over the years but still find it hard to justify whiffing nearly a third of total AB's
Still striking out a ton, but he's starting to look more and more comfortable in the box. Joc, Utley and Grandal are the lone bright spots offensively this season. I think the team should leave him in there a bit more vs LHP so he can get the AB's, but keeping him in the 8 hole may be the best spot for him in the line up. I'll take a .275/.379/.563 line after the first month+ with a good amount of loud outs to boot. Just need to get the rest of the offense going,
Yeah he's got his hands nice and high now, just look at'em there in the vid below, they're way high, the back elbow up, out away from his body and everything. His hands seem to be higher than CarGo's now. The comfort and trust do seem to be there, happy for the results, even happier that he's working it out @ the MLB level.
yup you can see it he's having fun again -- talking to umpires, catchers and the confidence is coming back
