Roberts counter to the lefty starters of the Giants Hernandez CF Taylor SS Segedin RF Turner 3B Gonzalez 1B Grandal C Kendrick 2B Ellis LF
I think we go: Enrique RF Seager SS Turner 3B Howie 2B Adrian 1B Grandal C Segedin LF Joc CF Maeda P Only one I'm not certain is if they want Howie leading off and Enrique lower, and if they want Grandal ahead of Adrian
That would've been DBB's post game excuse, errrrrr narrative.... and DR will bring Dayton in the game to get shelled just bc he pitches kinda like him.....
Joc isn't seeing MadBum except from the dugout. Segedin in left is what I meant, in my defense it was after work and in the early early am, lol.
Well the choice is between Joc in CF or Utley at 2B and I think the option with Joc in CF has the better defensive alignment.
Joc is a way better defender totally agree but 2 - 9 vs Bum isn't stellar although he did hit a solo shot. Rather have Kike man CF rather than a more critical position like 2nd. IMO the only lefties the SHOULD BE in the line-up against lefties is A-Gon and Corey. I know Yasmani is virtually devoid of power from the right side but AJ is too much of any easy out.
Be that as it may the point remains that he seems to be locked in enough right now to stay batting L.
Not happening he'll be hitting right, he's never batted left handed against a lefty at least to start to my recollection. You don't become and stay a switch hitter to bat lefty vs lefty. We'll see of course.
I know he won't do it but he could probably be successful, if for no other reason to get MadBum mental. With Puig gone someone has to step up and fuck with that heyseed.
I'm liking the way the team is playing right now. AGonz, most of us thought he'd start hitting again with the long ball. But there are others who are crushing it as well. If pitching holds it together and the hitting continues they could roll on to the post-season. Still a lot of games vs division foes, and LA's record thus far is 26-21 vs those biatches.
We need at least one victory in this SFCS series to come out no worse than tied. Although in the last five, we are 2-3, with those losses against the "easy part of the schedule" teams, we can do this in this series. Team playing very roller coaster ish, imo. I watched Scumgarden get whacked, and I guess what I see is not what everyone else does, since he is unanimous choice for CY so far...but we can get him and the other two if we play it smart.
i say you keep him his .299/.369/.458 slash line is right near his career averages slugging down a bit, but despite a slow start he'll still end up with 30+ doubles, 20+ hr and 100+ rbi rbis may be a product of opportunity, but you still have to convert and as long as he keeps doing that 100 times per season... just my .02
