Guessing the line-up for the 1st game. Howie LF Corey SS A-Gon 1st JT 3B Yasmani C Howie 2B Kike CF Toles RF Maeda P
Idk...lost amongst all the HRs and the offensive onslaught yesterday was the fact that Kike got an actual hit. A hit.
If Adrian stays hot enough through the rest of the season to hold or even elevate his value, management might have to take a look at moving him the same way they did with Kemp. His legs are obviously disastrous, defense is declining, and although his raw production stats are right in line with his production since the trade, he's being supported by a 350 babip (as compared to 315-294-294 the previous three) despite carrying his worst hard hit % since 2012.
In this hypothetical think I'd give Bellinger a deep look in spring training. The cost in games won of having him work out some shit the first quarter to half of 2017 might be preferable than having to expend the assets necessary to get a "proven" option. Not that I'm a prospect expert by any stretch, but I know Keith Law graded his glove at 70, so with Gonzo's cement legs getting stiffer by the moment he might be able to offset some of the offensive value lost with the glove. (the main appeal of this idea is the assets that could be gained from selling high on a borderline HOF before he collapses, so absent an attractive option on that front it's all moot)
I can't see them movin Adrian cause I can't see a team paying for him tbh. 1B is a spot where teams either already have someone locked up, or they sign a random free agent for much cheaper to try and stick there and who they'd think would at least equal his production. I think a lot of teams have gone away from your typical big contract 1B I could see them sticking with Adrian til the end
