Great game to be at. Quick and to the point (no homo). When a game ends before 10, it's a good night. Turner better be re-signed
Just watched the highlights of the game as I always do when I am in attendance. Omg watching Hill on TV and how much movement there was on his pitches...this guy is legit. Didnt even realize in person how filthy that stuff is. Worth the wait. Wow. All the highlights on MLBN were cut together with the voices of Vin Scully, John Miller and Charlie Steiner. 3 actual baseball voices. Sounded so pure and perfect for a series of this magnitude. All of them (including Steiner) made fantastic calls on the action. Just great. Only thing that could've made it better would be Kevin Kennedy doing a post game wrap up and relating this game to his days in Boston.
I'm glad to see Hill pitch so effectively first game back, but let's keep in mind the Gnats are arguably the worst or second-worst hitting team in the NL post ASG. It was an ideal first matchup for him.
HRs are definitely a rally killer. Don't hate Oh btw ARTICLE: @BillShaikin: For the first time this season, the #Dodgers can see October https://t.co/CRHrx8dFJP/s/G_NH
like this part... Of the 141 major league pitchers with at least 80 innings this season, Hill ranks second in ERA. The pitcher that ranks first is his new teammate, guy by the name of Kershaw.
would love to get the win tomorrow and sweep these bkitches and carry some momentum in against the cubs
I thought it was gone. I was waiting for Red Dick to back into the wall, leap, and come up empty which often happens. Thank fuck. Dave was pumped. Didn't have to get smashed with the question of why after the game.
100% chance Ellis starts tomorrow btw. Grandal has been underwhelming, and AJ has been suspiciously close to Roberts in the dugout.
Really want to get the sweep since the Giants play the useless fucking Braves and Diamondbacks while we get the Cubs and Rockies in the next two series. Having a 4 game cushion would be nice.
Lol at ESPN's highlights....a total of like 20 seconds. They show Turner's HR, Hill retire 1 batter, and Crawford's fly out.
I'm going to rewatch this one on the Giants broadcast. I'll report back on how crushed the two idiots are
