Obama’s private briefings for liberal members of the media, which excluded conservatives, were well-documented. A few: December 2012: Several journalists reported that MSNBC hosts were meeting privately with President Obama to discuss the impending “fiscal cliff” fight. May 2013: NPR’s Ari Shapiro reported that President Obama was meeting privately with “lefty columnists,” but hastened to add that there was “nothing nefarious” about it. November 2013: President Obama met again with liberal journalists, as Obamacare struggled with the failure of healthcare.gov and other problems. March 2015: Politico’s media reporter, Hadas Gold, reported that “a group of journalists and columnists,” all on the left, met privately with President Obama, but the White House refused to say “who else was at the meeting or what was discussed.”
My argument wasn't denying the existence of potentially inappropriate press relations in any other presidency, my argument was simply that the actions of the President of the United States are far more significant than 5 kids breaking windows.
Not attempting to be contrarian , but given the content of the previous discussion and entries, it is not that much of a stretch to think it is pretty much solely focused on Trump. Why even present an instance of the immediate past and administration if it is a blanket observation? Considering the previous subjects of the posts, and five kids breaking windows a mere month into a particular administration tenure, maybe becomes the new Krystallnacht of Nov.9th-10th, 1938, down the road. Since Trump is all so Hitlerian, as multiple members of the left have told us.
lol at "nothing nefarious" why would he even [think of having to] say that? like a chick saying, "i'm going out tonight... but i'm not going to bang any guys."
always humorous to hear the new narratives on the left "five kids breaking windows" lol originally it was "students weren't involved" what it was was a soros organized attack on free speech by a fucking mob the same as all these screaming meanies disrupting the GOP town hall meetings blm was invited to the previous administrations white house so its not much of a stretch to figure out who's behind it the dems lost and are humiliated so they are resorting to the LCD of politics and its beneath the party personally i would be embarrassed to try and justify the behavior and look to right the ship before its too late
this is exactly it and i'm glad you added it's beneath the party, because many true dem/libs are appalled by this behavior the angry democrats remind me of a bunch of spoiled trust fund kids always got everything they wanted... until [now] they didn't they railroaded bernie to get their girl in there and yet they never took notice of projection polls or, worst of all, that the woman had zero to bring to the table people grew tired of the "isn't this great for women" rhetoric and the strategic/convenient flip-flopping on issues such as gay marriage and whenever anyone questioned her about it she became surly and cantankerous and often lied and said they were misinformed the reason the democrats lost this election is because they pushed a flawed/inferior candidate i'm not opposed to a woman president but i was opposed to that woman if the dems wants to blame anyone for "president trump" they need to look in the mirror grow the fuck up already, you lost and it's your own damned fault edit: and let me add that this is not a blanket statement on all dems/libs just the bitter, childish ones
I think this is an interesting time for the Democratic party. Many of the identy politics issues are no longer issues, and there seems to be a split on what their focus going forward should be: There's the Obama/Clinton neoliberal group (free trade, foreign intervention, relatively business friendly) and the Bernie Sanders socialist camp (free shit for everyone, no foreign involvement, hostile to business). Should be interesting to see if the party fractures or if they come together.
true but in 08 and 12 there were a lot of people dancing on the graves of conservatives don't remember the rioting part or the "5 kids" part even though a lot of people were pissed agree or disagree the guy is supposed to get a chance and the country is supposed to rally for the good of the country crying and stomping your feet like petulant children and boycotting and obstructing isn't the way lets at least try to be adult about it
Let's be honest, that's what the GOP essentially did for 8 years. Only fair that Trump gets a dose of that from the other side in congress now.
its been going on for 40 years on both sides i'm not in disagreement but give the man his cabinet and stop wasting time already not going to go back and pull the numbers but its over a month and they are just stalling the inevitable pretty sure obama had his cabinet in place in the first month and regardless of what happened in the last 8 years the reason trump is there is because people are tired of that shit the dems continuing to prefer throwing shit against the wall will only damage their side more since repubes have more or less gone underground they aren't getting anything done so far either the majority of people in this country are fed up with that and want progress if they pick and choose their battles instead of fighting every single thing he does it would resonate as a reasonable response instead of hysterical
Let them over react to everything, I say. Let them burn, pillage and rape like the Vandals did. Let them cry scream and their duly elected reps like Waters, Pelosi and all the others use foul language and make themselves heard incessantly. Let their operativess like Maher, and Madd.ow and pretty much every lib news agency cover every stupid act of petulance and destruction they commit. Sooner or later, the droning will result in apathy and bored eye rolling, by all but the payrolled pros out there and it will matter, in the long run, less than they do now. Burn, babies, burn.

this is true and his argument is basically the same as anyone citing empirical factual evidence all tucker is saying is the same as a lot of us no one denies the climate is changing but there are still valid questions i am not a holocaust denier er, climate change denier
what a bunch of petulant whiny bkitches your sow lost nothing you do will change that get over it already or, better yet, make true on all your hollow threats and move to canada fuck off already Cramer slams Democratic women for wearing white to Trump’s speech by Gabby Kaufman | Yahoo News — 27 minutes ago Representative Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., strongly criticized the Democratic congresswomen who wore white to President Trump’s State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, dismissing the move as “weird” and characterizing it as an homage to Hillary Clinton’s failed presidential bid. “But by the way, did you notice how poorly several of them were dressed, as well?” Cramer said Wednesday, during a radio town hall broadcast from Fargo, N.D., Politico reported. “It is a syndrome. There is no question. There is a disease associated with the notion that a bunch of women would wear bad-looking white pantsuits in solidarity with Hillary Clinton to celebrate her loss. You cannot get that weird.” Rep. Lois Frankel, R-Fla., the chair of the House Democratic Women’s Working Group, whose district encompasses Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, led the effort to wear white, in order to visibly promote gender equality. I don't get the wage gap thing. Corporations are evil entities that only care about profit. Women make 77 cents on the dollar for doing the same work as men. Why wouldn't evil corporations only hire women and cut 23% off their labor costs? It must be the patriarchy or something.
