    Absolutely.
    Instead of wishing and wanting everyone else to help us out, we can only take care of our own business, not theirs. We are doing pretty damn good, but like you wrote, the time to gain on them is head up with them...but we just don't.
    In a year where they both may stay with us all the way to the finish line, we will have to sack up and take fate in our own hands with these guys, for sure.
    As bad as the Giants are, they probably still kick our ass from pillar to post, and it's the only plausible victory for them.

    Walking through the Denver airport about 6:30 pm today. A lot of SF gear. I really wanted to rub it in, but then I thought about the Dodgers record vs. SF this year.

    After Manny hit the bobble head grand slam, I thought for sure it was the Dodgers year. That year I learned there is no magic or destiny in this world. The Rockies won a game against a bad team and bad closer, no more no less.

    We need to keep winning with the Mets in town. Arizona and Colorado facing off, so one of the two will finally lose some games.
