    Damn. I was just about to say that if LAD gets this done..remember that Nightenfail had it 1st.
    He had LAD completely out of it a couple days ago and they're back in..but now, it's over Smh

    The more chatter that is coming out, the more it seems that the Dodgers were more than likely doing this as a favor to Boras to get the Phillies offer up. Though truthfully we really do not know the inner workings of this FO.

    Not sure why we would want to help Borass against the Phillies. Not saying we are serious about Bryce, but that doesn’t seem to be a good reason to talk.

    I don’t see where this benefits us though. Boras won’t be any easier to deal with because we did him a favor, and our kids aren’t going to settle for less because we did this. And why would Dave Roberts go if it’s just a con?

    What I think: the Dodgers were always Bryce’s first choice, and the Dodgers have never been out on him knowing Bryce was going to let them make the last offer.

    could very well be the case
    and, if so, we don't need to have the best offer... just something reasonable
    maybe he would take a shorter term deal to play on a ws contender
    he's not going to bite on 5yr/$150m though
    need to be creative with the $$$, years, opt out options, etc
    all that said, i give us maybe a 10% chance of landing him
    phils still have to be the heavy fave -- unless he really doesn't want to go there
