Fired as Angels hitting coach, Mickey Hatcher joins Dodgers as special assistant Aaron Gleeman Jun 26, 2012, 3:45 PM EDT http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2...y-hatcher-joins-dodgers-as-special-assistant/
Ha, yeah, for us it's not really relevant , but I imagine it'd be like in 20 years if we hired Cesar Izturis or some other former Dodger.
A Dodger comes home. Cool. Mickey came up huge in that '88 World Series. Best World Series HR trot ever.
I'm definitely down with Mickey Hatcher, so I'm not going to say anything bad about him, but we need to draw the line on picking up fired/DFA'd Angels right now! We got a rep to protect.
This is different. Mickey wore Dodger Blue long before he wore Angel red. And it's the Dodgers fault Mickey left with Mike Scioscia anyway so they are to blame. This is righting a wrong.
If he could instill the passion and fire he played with into guys like Billingsley we'd win a lot more games and before anyone says Gibson, I remember Hatcher's infectious enthusiasm in 1987, one year prior to Gibby's arrival.
I like those Dodger jerseys with the white outline of the letters and numbers on the home jerseys. You can barely tell but they had it from the 80s-2006 ish.
as do the dodgers once again. this guy is a super positive hustle guy and i think he can do only good. sadly though maybe that type of attitude isn't well received by the team either. oh well i know lasorda is happy.
