Pence down. Giants playing decent teams. We play the Braves and Reds The plan is working :rubhands: Suicide watch for the weekend series in SF though.
The sample size for Trayce is growing. CHI in 2015 - 135 plate appearances, .295/.363/.533, .896 OPS, 5 HRs, 26 strikeouts, 13 walks, 33 hits LAD in 2016 - 138 plate appearances, .279/.362/.566, .928 OPS, 9 HRs, 30 strikeouts, 16 walks, 34 hits wRC+ was 144 last year with CHI and it was 151 as of yesterday for LAD, subject to change tomorrow. Deals have been made of Trayce's ability to hit RHP, 2015 vs. RHP - 77 plate appearances, .269/.364/.448, .811 OPS, 3 HRs, 17 strikouts, 10 walks, 18 hits 2016 vs. RHP - 88 plate appearances, .273/.364/.571, .935 OPS, 6 HRs, 18 strikeouts, 11 walks, 21 hits Now, for Montas who's impressed @ AA/AAA thus far in his rehab. 5 games, 8 innings, 31 batters faced, 1.12ERA, 6 hits, 1 HR, 1 ER, 2 walks, 12 Ks Sometimes plan B is the best plan.
Hoping Bolsinger/UrĂas can give us some good starts. That'll be huge for this series if we want a shot at sweeping.
Bummed about the pitching matchup tomorrow. And throughout the series, honestly. The offense needs to show up. License Plate giveaway tomorrow. So I'm sure we'll get at least 20k.
agree on the offense hopefully yesterday was a sign of things to come and not just an aberration our starters need to go 5-6 innings and hold the rocks to 2-3 runs (or less) have a feeling urias might fare better in front of the hometown fans, especially if a lot of mexican fans show up to support him no racist
If Bolsinger has a 3rd straight outing where he only gives up a couple runs over 5 innings we should start seeing some respeck on the man's name. Definitely time to score some runs and give him a lead to work with
his outings have been somewhat misleading too the last three times he's given up a hr and the lead iirc makes it look worse than it is but his era is around 4 over that time not great, but certainly good enough if the offense does their job
Not ripping Bolsinger. He does his job. Just prefer watching someone else. Sucks that Wood (no homo) was starting to pitch so well and got hurt.
Adding to Trayce's numbers, forgot these, With CHI in 2015 - .341 BABIP With LAD in 2016 - .301 BABIP .301 obviously more sustainable, it was .293 before yesterday's game. The one area I see where he truly needs to improve offensively is on the road, CHI/away 2015 - 68 plate appearances, .206/.265/.397, .662 OPS, 15 strikeouts, 5 walks LAD/away 2016 - 70 plate appearances, .219/.286/.438, .723 OPS, 17 strikeouts, 6 walks Gotta do better here, @SFG later this week would be a start, wash the road sins away
Man's given up 12 hits and K'd 14 so far, he's doin just fine, I enjoy watching him K guys with that silly off-speed stuff Lol He should add a knuckler one day
Meh, only reason the Cubs are as good as they are is because they are getting hopefully unsustainable production from all 5 starters.
