Exactly. ..the fucking Gnats who we beat in the division vs. The fucking Royals..unreal...FUCK BASEBALL SOMETIMES.....But gawd i still love this game .BUT FUCK...I digress...
Y'know, I think it was MZA who suggested squinting your eyes, and then looking at the Royals and they look like the Dodgers...so I did it last night, when they had 2nd & 3rd, and NO outs, and then two of the worst Ks in history then a walk, then a groundout...it and IT WAS JUST LIKE THE DODGERS!!!! He was spot on with that....couldn't tell the difference -it was like they were cloned from us....
It's so true...last night , during the Peavy interview, I thought "this guy was on a historically bad roll for a long while so very recently...just seemed career ending and was eminent". And Clayton was getting all the "best pitcher in BB" accolades for months, and is winning awards already for the past season performance and his stats...and yet , he is watching our mortal dynastic enemies on TV back in TX , I guess, with a pretty horrible post season legacy to shoulder, and Jake Peavy is starting game 2 in the WS tonight.
I fail to go to sleep at a decent hour each night no matter how hard I try. Last night, I turned the game off after the Blanco catch to end the first and went straight to bed with no problem. No point in watching something when it disgusts you and you know the outcome.
That's why I can't watch. Especially since the Giants are probably gonna win it.....again. Fuck sports.
It's the way things shaped up for us too . I would have been really confident in this team winning a 4 game out of 7 series vs SF and KC to claim our first WS since 88, but we choked badly vs St. Louis. Feels like we missed a golden opportunity and are getting kicked in the nuts
agreed, match ups have a friend who's a die-hard homosexual giants fan he said he and his fellow cock smokers giants fans were so relieved they didn't have to play us he said, and i quote "there's no way we would have got past you guys"...
I wanted the Cards to be the wildcard real bad so that they would meet the Giants. Either way, I think we would've avoided the Cards and played the Brewers or the Pirates (is that right?)....or even perhaps the Giants. Of course, if you have a real championship team, you shouldn't care, but we know how that ends up with the Dodgers.
We're like Red Sox fans before 2004. They watched the Yanks win like every year Except with the difference being the Yanks actually had a damn good team and the Red Sox teams weren't as good as the Dodgers. It sucks cause theres no logical explanation, IMO. We sit here for hours wondering what if what if or trying to get in depth into the mentality or chemistry or who knows what and we will debate their toughness all year cause we know we were the damn better team and it not working out how it should have causes us to look for an explanation. Maybe we're right maybe we're wrong but it's hard to not know why. Hard to not be able to just look and see for sure this mentality or a lack of this or a lack of that is what happened. Cause it did happen. If we were the worse team in several areas, so be it. Easy to find why we failed. But it's hard to find out without us all trying to go deeper. I'm not saying we're all dumb im just saying it sucks cause even if in 2015 we win the division by a million games it'll be cool but won't mean shit. Just a month ago life felt great when we won the division against the Giants and now it's pretty much meaningless. How tiring is it to be one of the best from Feb-Sept but not in October. Why can't the opposite happen
Because if you're one of the worst from Feb-Sept then you won't make it to October? I know. I feel the pain too bro, just trying to ease the pain with humor. And beer. (Lagunitas Sucks can ease a lot of pain.)
I keep telling myself that having this team set up to make the playoffs like 5 years in a row is great in itself cause you're bound to win once but then I remember that nothing is fair and the Braves showed us you can win the division for like a decade and barely show any rings for it. Good beer choice though. I'm currently having to drink some beer called "Miller Lite", heard of it?
I think it was 14 division wins for the Braves, and I never miss a chance to rub it into the throngs of Braves fans in my area. Miller Lite? Hell yeah, one of my heroes used to hawk that stuff. The Ueuk!!
