Man, the Rockies are destroying the Cubs in the first half of a double header. After that 18 inning affair two nights ago, if the Cubs have to go to the pen early in this one, they may be fucked. Not to mention, another round of severe storms is supposed to pass through here soon, so it could knock out another pitcher early depending on when it hits. Parts of the city saw BASEBALL sized hail. I have never seen anything like that before.
Arietta suckitude is off the charts. Maybe the abhorrent weather is related to the abhorrent team in first place. I wonder when, or if at all, the Rox crash everyone is waiting for will come?
Holy shit, Jered Weaver absolutely needs to hang it up. 5 ER in 1/3 so far. One of the worst pitching seasons of all time.
no no no we still have 14 game left with the pads we need him to pitch as many of those as humanly possible
True. I do have a soft spot for his rat-faced brother. He was "nails" for us. Rkacist euphemism translation: "Nails" = white, ugly, 4+ ERA, 195+ innings
Not to be contrary, but isn't it better if the Cubs destroy them...considering the Rockies are in first ahead of us?
Jeff won a World Series ring and was great in game 5 of the Cards win in 06. Jeff was on some decent Angels teams that never went anywhere. Don't really know where I'm going with this. I just like Jeff more than Jared.
In the meantime they are coming through. Without all of them where would we be? High caliber starting pitchers without negatives and all upside are not only extremely expensive money and prospect wise... they are also a rare commodity that is in supremely high demand.
Look man, he played the game the way it was supposed to be played and always came to the stadium ready to play and give it 110%
both had their moments jered's was an ace thru 2014 since then his era and fip have gone way up he's all but done jeff was never anything above a middle rotation starter sorry, he just wasn't but they are/were both ill-tempered/mercurial ckunts fuck em
