Those couple times are fresh on DR's mind as well, as he talked about Ethier doing it the last couple years..could put him over the edge against Fat Joc. Fat Joc had a hell of a NLDS last year, but obviously, in a different role than we're talking now. We shall find out today, hopefully..I assume. Again, I don't trust either all that much, but I trust them more than Baez. I need to know if Baez makes this roster more than anything else
Yeah...got nothing against snakes from a herpetological pov, but in a literary sense, Old Testament and all...they are snakes. Or more accurately maybe, serpents.
The dbacks turned a corner when they hired Daron Sutton and the wine-o fuckhead Mark Grace. After that they seemed to get way more venomous, especially regarding the Dodgers. Gibson's weird thing with LA didn't help either. Everything about the idiotic 'culture' they try to cultivate, purging perceived dissidents like Bauer and Eaton just creeps me out. Also the thing where the owner came and forcibly removed a Dodger fan from behind home plate? I mean come on, just repulsive
Welp, I'm going to game 3. Preparing to be drunk before all 3 games because playing these fags will give me anxiety each game.
Explain? The only thing I can think of that sort of fits that is the Kemp trade, and that was obviously done for a variety of reasons, not least of which was the fact that Matt Kemp sucked at baseball by then.
Lots more bad guys we got rid of one way or another. All the racists wannabe hardasses that hated Puig and belittled him constantly were moved in what seemed like head scratching moves by most. Those are not real hardasses they are just chapassed. Now we have real ones like Utley. And if he has a problem with a player acting a little out of step then he serves up a lesson to the kid instead of trying to humiliate him all the time. Because a leader knows that putting your teammates down is what losers do. Unfortunately sometimes all it takes is one of these chapasses to be in a leadership position to start bringing out the recessed chapass in many seemingly decent guys. AJ Ellis became a different dude around Greinke. Greinke had that power in the clubhouse. It was not his power to control of course, but his example was something that other players used as license to let their inner chapass fly. The whole personal catcher to the aces thing might have fucked with his head and made him think he was something other than a fringe MLB player that got lucky to befriend an ace of aces.
In modern Dodger history, there's not too many that qualify..!but in ancient LAD and Brooklyn annals, there are a few that might fit the bill. One that leaps to mind is Rick Sutcliffe, who trashed Tommy's office. There are others, but escape me. There were some in O'Malley's reign, too. He was such a cheap bastard, guys were willing not to play to get a fair wage.
totally agree and the same know-it-alls who are criticizing his decision would have been all over him for not using ray had they lost
Well you didn't get your dream......but they did burn Greinke and Ray.......so I think that means we can only see Ray once???
you'd have to think so but he threw fewer pitches than zack so lovullo could start him sunday and save zg for game 3 either way it should be to our advantage but we just have to capitalize on it... can't let their mid/back-end starters hold us down
I think they just announced just that. Grienke for 3 and Ray for 2. It may not be a blessing, but having to start your #3 guy has still got to be better for us than facing a fresh Greinke or Ray.
