Just looking at this lineup and man, if they could find a way to upgrade offensively over Forsythe either with a LF, 2B or 1B... damn. I know they'll focus on pitching but still
Jeezuz! I just checked Taylor's splits as leadoff hitter. In 75 ABs, he's slashing .427/.511/.760. That's #1 in each of those categories among players with at least 75 ABs, in either league. Meanwhile, in 93 leadoff ABs, Forsythe is at .247/.368/.355. This should be a no-brainer from here on out for Roberts. Righty, lefty, it doesn't matter. CT is your leadoff hitter.
He may come back and provide solid hitting vs righties unlike Forsythe. So just platoon them. 2B: Taylor/Forsythe SS: Seager/Seager 3B: Turner/Turner 1B: Gonzales/Bellinger LF: Bellinger/Taylor C : Grandal/Barnes CF: Joc/Joc RF: Puig/Puig Extends the lineup both vs lefties and righties. Bellinger and Adrian would probably switch lineup positions vs righties to get Belly in that cleanup spot. Adrian can pickup whatever the first 4 leave for him using his veteran RBI savvy. Then its the Grandal/Joc/Puig show of exciting russian roulette.
Fair to fortunate. Fortunate that Sano's rocket to left that ended the fifth found Taylor's glove and that Grossman was thrown out at the plate on a bang bang play to end the 4th.
